Ken Whitmans has been served for not completing the KotD:LAS kickstarter:

My understanding is that they are suing for a full disclosure of how the funds were used and for a release of all the raw footage that was filmed.

    2. Jon B, manager, Emporia of Valoria on July 17, 2016

I agree that some of the tactics used "against" you were over the top, but you have several aliases on Kickstarter (Pioneer Games for one) and a number of unfulfilled campaigns with zero communication for periods of years, and you moved out to another state. What did you think would happen? If you want a clean slate, stop making empty promises. Saying you hope to deliver something in a year just doesn't cut it. Some of these Kickstarters, like the pencils and spinners, were very simple and inexpensive to fulfill. It seems clear you took the money and spent it on other things. That would be fraud. If that's not the case, what did you do with the money from those Kickstarters? Why haven't you communicated on them in a year or more? Why has nothing been delivered?

    3. Jon B, manager, Emporia of Valoria on July 15, 2016

Ken, it's not that much money. Be a man, get a job and pay us back.

I don't want to give Ken any ideas, but we should be glad we didn't back the largest kickstarter in history. The Coolest Cooler. 18 months past deadline and they want an extra $100 to send you the product maybe by the 4th of July.

Worse than I thought. Maybe I'm wrong, but it appears he has several facebook pages. It also appears he is being sued by some of his supporters. Suddenly I'm thinking I won't be seeing my product or a refund. Look at the comments section of Knights of the Dinner Table. (click on d20 entertainment, click on 6 projects created, then click on Knights. )

Sadly - I have backed several of Ken's projects and they are all on thin ice.

Hope You Rot in Hell Ken Whitman or what ever the your name is now. You burned so many people in all of your fraud. You even fled a state to avoid dealing with it. I think that makes it federal now. Did you have any intention of finishing this?

    10. Jon B, manager, Emporia of Valoria on November 9, 2015

Look at all of the Creators' Kickstarters. All the same story. Accusations of scams, unfulfilled promises, money gone, legal action threatened or taken, Creator moved to a new state. That's money down the drain. Thankfully, this is the only one I backed.

    11. d20 Entertainment 6-time creator on November 1, 2015

Hey everyone, sorry for not posting sooner. Due to personal problems, I moved to Atlanta. As soon as I get settled I will make more updates. Take care.

It has been almost 6 weeks since the "more news next week". Even if "something special" didn't happen, some update would really be nice. Again, I understand this is a d20E thing (NOT the Troll Lords - who are very cool. Even if they are behind, they tell you what is up).

An informative update would be nice. See my questions below.

    13. Scott Swift on October 1, 2015

Ken posted a 5 minute video on his FB account that featured the same actor as the one in the promo video. Is this the KS funded video? Why not share it here?

All very good questions. While I don't know where the film is being shot, the leaves are changing here in Pa earlier than most years. It's a consideration if additional work needs to be done again if the leaves are off the trees, grass is brown, etc.

Plus all the possible delays from actors, schedules, etc.

Again, full support to TLG. Loved the commercial made over the past month or so.

POSTED in comments and re-posted here for posterity
Thank you for the update. I think most of us would like to know if filming happened as promised at the end of last month? Are all the actors still on board and have the schedule room for reshoots and dubbing? When are those setup to happen?

I think with the delays in this project and the others we all would feel better getting and idea of the current schedule and weekly update of adjustments. Since a production studio has to keep a calendar and schedule I don't think this would be to time consuming and something that you investors/backers should have.

Thank you and I look forward to a timely response.

Does anyone know is any "Shooting" actually happened?

For the Record: I hold nothing against the Troll Lords (love you guys), just like KandCo and the rest of us, d20 Ent has been stringing us along. As much as I hope this pilot happens, I expect that it is last in a long line of incomplete KS.

At least we got "To the End" which is really cool. Alas, I had nothing to do with d20 Entertainment.

Yes I got the TLG update, but still with the lack of communication from the creator on this project and others from d20 entertainment, I will not be holding my breath, on the completion of this project and if it is finished, delivered and a professional item with all that was promised into pledge level then we might see.

    19. d20 Entertainment 6-time creator on August 3, 2015

Michael, did you get the update that TLG sent out via d20 Entertainment. It should have been last week? ~Steve Chenault, Troll Lord Games

According to The Kickstarter Terms of use
Ken Whitman has failed to abide by them,

Project Creators agree to make a good faith attempt to fulfill each reward by its Estimated Delivery Date - FAILED

For some rewards, the Project Creator needs further information from Backers, such as a mailing address or t-shirt size, to enable the Project Creator to deliver the rewards. The Project Creator shall request the information directly from Backers at some point after the fundraising campaign is successful. - Failed

Project Creators are required to fulfill all rewards of their successful fundraising campaigns or refund any Backer whose reward they do not or cannot fulfill. - FAILED

Good to hear that something is at least planned for May. All Kickstarter creators should knowknow by now that they go silent for extended periods at their peril.

I urge everyone to report this one to Kickstarter. As there has been no update from the creator for 6 months it seems clear that they have simply absconded with the money.

I think we'll wait forever for an update. Time to report this one (for what good it does) as clearly the project creator has just vanished with the money. One to chalk up to experience. All the warning signs were there, primarily the ridiculously low funding goal.

      I challenge the maths. If we hit 10,000 --> 10,000 - 5,000 = 5,000 0ver. 5,000 / 500 = 10. 11 + 10 = 21 not 31.

    40. d20 Entertainment 6-time creator on November 1, 2014

We made it and with 36hrs to go Let's see how for we can get on this!

d20 Entertainment, will add one extra minted for ever $500 Over $5000. So if we hit $10,000 thats will be 11 + 20 = 31 minutes of show!!!

Also, if we will get $7,500, EVERYONE will recive a PDF version of the adventure that will be created and printed in the back of the Limited Edition Hardback. This adventure is based on the first episode of out TV pilot, and written by Troll Lord games to be played in the C&C world of Aihrde!

@Steve -- Thanks for the clarification. I suspected as much since the Three Sisters Kickstarter wrapped up not long ago turning these books into color. I have to say that I'm awfully tempted by it *but* I have to remember that I've already got one of those coming to me (in the very near future) as a top tier backer in that Kickstarter.

Still, it could mean that some C&C fans who missed on the Three Sisters Kickstarter could be one of the lucky ones to get and back this one. I will spread the word. :)
