Hello Survivors! Since we last updated you, we’ve received all the pack-out copies of the game, add-ons, and stretch goals, so that we can make sure all components are present in the various configurations. We’ve checked everything thoroughly, made some tweaks, and provided approvals. Manufacturing has been ongoing throughout this process, so we’ve already completed production of the miniatures and printed components. Currently, we’re finalizing box printing and content assembly (packing, shrink wrapping, etc.). After that, the games will be put on boats to each of the hubs and your copies of THE WALKING DEAD: NO SANCTUARY will be on their way to you!

Here’s a look at some of the items in the pack-outs that you haven’t seen yet:

Shipping update: No News is Good News

Since our last update, the schedule has not changed. Per the factory, Shipwire will receive all items by the end of October and then they’ll spend about a week processing, picking/packing, labeling, and sending the games out utilizing various postal services. Backers can expect to begin receiving games approximately a week after that. Barring any additional complications due to the holiday shipping rush, that should hopefully mean around the middle of November. You will receive your items in one wave.

Finalizing Address Changes

Since we are approaching fulfillment of the game, all address updates must be completed by this Friday, October 13 (11:30pm PST). After this date, we will send all the addresses we have on file to Shipwire, which will use them to send out your packages. Once the deadline passes, we will not be able to change your address or reroute your package. Likewise, all shipping balances must be paid before this date; otherwise, you will not receive your games at the same time as everyone else. If the deadline passes, you will pay shipping costs that reflect the current rates for shipping from our office in California, and you will be responsible for any duty/tax/customs fee required, since we will not be able to use Shipwire's international hubs at this point.

With the new season of The Walking Dead approaching and the components of the game coming together before our eyes, we’re extremely excited to immerse you in the world of The Walking Dead: No Sanctuary very soon! It’s been a long trek thus far, but it seems that Hershel’s farm is just around the corner. Until we get there, keep surviving!

@ Andreas W., Sorry, yes it looks confusing. They should have said that this is meant for the people who hasn't completed the pledge manager.

      @Salvador

I probably have paid it already, I just got confused by this:

"Likewise, all shipping balances must be paid before this date; otherwise, you will not receive your games at the same time as everyone else."

They made it sound as if it is something I need to do manually?

@ Andreas W. , The shipping was paid on the pledge manager that was released last year and was closed on October. Didn't you fulfill it? Then I recommend contacting Cryptozoic.

How do we pay shipping, isn't that done automatically?

Either they shifted production to Mexico, or there is no way a boat from China will bring them to US (or EU) before the end of month. Promising something to arrive in 4 weeks when you know full well it will be at least 6-8 weeks away is just stupid way to make backers unhappy.

My opinion is also just that: an opinion. For context, I'm used to Heroclix where the maps are super-indicated, so this is not very aggressive to my eye.

You don't have to feel compelled to feel the same way, by the way.

On the "Tiles with borders" issue, I'm not taking sides - just wanted to say that whilst the border does look 'significant' when viewed on each tile on it's own, the main picture in the previous updated showed a map of 2x2 tiles (four total) and the borders didn't appear too bad in that... dont know - will just have to see.

I could do with out the outer colored border. But eh it is a board game.

In their last update, they stated how to get the information from Shipwire: "If you need us to resend you a link to your Pledge Manager account, don’t hesitate to let us know via email (kickstarter@cryptozoic.com) or Kickstarter message."

It pays to fully read the updates.

How can we change our shipping address? Their was no link in the update and I'm worried because even though I changed it my ghostbusters 2 game was sent to my old address

@Will "You taste like a burger" Gibson:
This was my opinion and as I said, each one his own, but since you are arguing my opinion making yours looks like a fact,, here is my answer:
There are many ways to use frames and colors on a board game. You can frame the board on the outside (edges) or you can frame it on the inside (with a little margin between the frame and the edge). You can have it roughly plain or you can have it translucent. You can have it straight or you can have it look more hand made. You can have it solid or you can have it dashed/dotted. You can have it thick, or you can have it thin. You can also have it in a wide range of yellows or whatever the colors.
And this if you really want to use frames because there are other ways to mark areas on a board.
If you played many games you'll see that there are a gazillion of possibilities.
All in all, art is all about nuances.
You treat my opinion like if it was a on or off situation and a "duh" kind of decision.
      Which it is not.
      Thanks.

Oct 31 or earlier, items shipping from hubs.

Tell me more about your rocket boat. And your jedi mind tricks for customs.

Re: outlines, yellow is indoor, white is outdoor [I assume]. In context, as a proper map of 2x2 boards, I'm sure it'll all look fine. I'm not exactly sure what the issue is. This is still, afterall, a boardgame, and not a skirmish game or whatever. Boardgames have board markings. Eh!

As for shipping, yeah, that seems very fast, but fast is good. I dunno the timelines, so assuming it's "gotta" take X weeks to do things when we're not actually privy to that info is flawed. Better safe than angry, so let's all assume we'll REALLY Get these by new years, and if [when] (if) they do show up mid-November, bully for us!

First off I agree with Baylock, but thats a done deal so lets move on.

I am missing something here. the games are still being manufactured, lets assume they are all complete by Monday next week. With the best will in the world they wont get onto boats until Friday 20th. 4 weeks shipping to the hubs +1 week custom clearing, another week for the distributor to sort and pack and then a final means these games are at least 7-8 weeks away for the first recipients, longer for those at the back of th queue

How can we possibly see these games by the middle of November? What am I missing?

Agreed with @Baylock... the art on the cards looks very similar to other Walkind Dead games (which are not good) and looks very boring to see. Also the tiles... that yellow... wow I really don't like it. I hope when I see all of this face to face my opinion change.

    23. Baylock on October 11

Congrats for being on time and thanks.
If I may and I'm sorry to start with a critique, but I really dislike the frame around the tiles...
I get that the colors seem to be part of the gameplay but still, it's a frame around the tiles that looks like it's not properly cut. It feels rough and still in beta state.
All in all (we already had that discussion about the cards), I'm very meh about the design in general. I'm pretty sure this all is very functional but at the price of the look.
It's a pity because, IMHO, it could have been thought to satisfy both the conditions.
Since I've seen the final cards and tiles, I have to admit that I'm way less eager to have that game on my table. It feels very generic. it lacks some soul in my opinion.
I hope that this impression will vanish after the first play as I know that seeing art on a computer and seeing it for real can be different.
I'm not counting too much on that but let's wait and see.
Anyway, you can't please everybody I guess...
      So, thanks.
