 Hi Cyberbuddies,

It's time for a new update. Thanks for your comments and feedback. We are reading them all and addressing them in our updates.

@Cyberbuddie in Vienna (pleasant surprise)

It was great to have our Kickstarter backer visiting us in the studio for testing Cybershoes. We played Skyrim, Arizona, Doom, and Talos Principle. Long play session and great conversation afterward about the future of virtual reality, racing simulators, robotics & AI, and VR guns. Our Cyberbuddies are always more than welcome...

 Update: one more backer is coming on this Friday. Will post a photo or video afterward

@SteamMenu

We are continuously improving our Cybershoes Steam Menu and making it possible to play any VR game on the Steam.

@Jumping

Now you can jump in every game by lifting your both hands at the same time* (as in DOOM VFR). We've developed the software logic, but last IMU was not accurate/fast enough. Michael is testing the new one (for $10 more expensive), it looks promising for now, but we'll know more next week.

* Hands - Jumping feature is enabled when you install our Cybershoes driver and enable it in our Cy's menu

@Shipping May

All looks good and according to our timeline. We ordered ankle straps from Taiwan and magnets from China.

@Bent strap

 After CES we noticed a bent strap tower on a left shoe:

1)Bent inside top part strap tower discovered on a left shoe on one of the milled pairs

2)Bend seems to propagate through to the surface of the shoe, suggesting that rib cuts designed for PCB accommodation are not preventing deformations due to loads exceeding structural resistance

@How do we make Cybershoes!?

ENGINEERED IN AUSTRIA - PRODUCED IN ESTONIA

Cybershoes Partners
Cybershoes Partners

We are partnering with these companies for PCB, mold design, manufacturing and assembly line:

@PROTOSKOOP, PCB Design, Estonia

www.protoskoop.ee

We are working with Protoskoop since May 2018 on designing a final PCB. Protoskoop is a team of experienced engineers who help us make Cybershoes as a ready-to-use product. Also, their CEO Martti were with us during a CES at our booth.

@TENTWELVE, Mechanical prototyping and mold design, Estonia

www. tentwelve.ee

Also, a very experienced and trustworthy team of engineers, partnering with us since October 2018.  They helped us with drawings for mold and preparing an assembly line. They were with us during Websummit and CES.

Drawings are released today to the mold maker!

 @TRADEX AS, Assembly Line & quality control, Estonia

 An advantage of Tradex AS to other companies is -> they have the know-how  for testing the electronics before assembling all together.

 @Review by MRTV

Famous Youtuber - Sebastian from MRTV immersed himself in Skyrim VR with Valve Knuckles, Pimax 5K and Cybershoes.  Nice setup you lucky guy :)
   As he stated in the video, this is probably the most immersive way to play Skyrim in 2019.

 After the play session, he did some product review and explained in details what you paid for!

 @Vtuber
     As you probably know in Japan are very popular VTubers. They are actually using VR technologies for making anime youtube videos. Check how it looks when one VTuber is presenting Cybershoes.

@New VR Game

We've tested a lot of new VR games with Cybershoes and Windows Mixed Reality:

1. Talos Principle
     Puzzle 5/5: ☆☆☆☆ ☆

Michael is played the Talos Principle a first-person puzzle VR game. The Talos Principle earned more than 15,000 overwhelmingly positive reviews on the Steam.  Michael is also showing how to set up the player height in Cybershoes/Steam Menu with Z-Scaling.

 Z-Scaling is a feature that allows picking up the object from the ground from your seated position.

2. Apex Construct

Game graphics  5/5: ☆☆☆☆☆

Michael is playing today the Apex Construct - a single player action/adventure game made exclusively for VR.  Michael is also showing the difference between:

1. Directional - walk in direction of Cybershoes and

2. Non-directional - walk in the direction where you look.

Stay tuned for:
 3. Drunkn Bar Fight
 4. Stand Out: VR Battle Royale
to be released in the next updates...

      Great update, thank you!

      Could you please clarify what you were referring to regarding more expensive ($10) IMUs with regards to the jumping functionality? If it’s enabled via hand motion, surely the relevant IMUs would be the ones inside the hand controller, right?

      ooo thanks Ivan. That is what keeps us going. Sincerely!
