One of the things we have always loved about tabletop gaming has been the miniatures and terrain. Recently there has been an increasing number of awesome products hitting the market with a lot of those starting here. Well, it's time for us to toss our hat into that arena. As a wise man once said to me... you can never have too much terrain.
What we are going to focus on are fantasy and science fiction furnishings (The majority of these will be digitally created and printed on a high resolution 3d printer for a master, then cast in resin) as well as traditional miniatures and whole room terrain which will come later this year. Once all backers receive their rewards only then will those items be available in our retail store.
Quality is very important to us because we are gamers too and we want it to look good on your table.(Just wait till you see our 28mm miniature line coming up later this year)
It is your gracious pledges that will allow us to have our master molds made and the furnishings cast in resin.
Each item or multiple of items listed below counts as one choice. Specialty items which will be added count as multiple choices as noted.
- You will be given the option to choose multiples of any item choice as well.
- We are showing works in progress as we will be updating the lists throughout the month with more choices.
Choices are made from the following lists:

Again, most miniatures are printed in high detail 3d and then cast in resin. The remainder are traditionally sculpted.
So.. who am I? The one called Christopher Caporal and creator of this Kick Starter?
“You talk funny Nash…where are you from?”
“Lots of different places”
(We can begin this journey in St. Louis… ;) ) Of myself; Married to a wonderful woman who puts up with me (Only one I have found who can) and with most of our kids adults and out of the house, it does make things much easier. Heading into the wonderful year of 49, it seems that I have been gaming forever…at least since 1978 ;) and gaming includes everything from Wargames to Roleplaying Games. Gaming throughout my military career (Army 19E) and through the wonderful 90s of which I spent most of that decade working at Kinko’s copies. Or, as someone asked me once… “What is your job?”… my answer was of course “Reproduction”. It was also in this decade that I began to pick up computer graphics design and 3d design towards the end of that decade.
The new century saw me work with more print companies and learn offset printing while continuing to support my wife through nursing school (She is currently a Family Nurse Practitioner) and working on my 3d design skills. In the mid first decade of the new century I began to become very ill and weak and things started to fall apart (Service connected) so the VA put me on disability and treatments that continue to this day. What that did, was help set the stage to arrive at where I am at now. I had started a few smaller studios for my artwork and 3d modeling but those never really took off the ground due to one reason or another. All that told me was that I was not ready to go forward with greater plans so I bided my time, and learned more.
So with the launching of this Kick Starter most everything I had in place and set up beforehand and that will make a big difference. Not to mention this is a way for me to give back to the gaming community for all those great years. The bottom line, is that this is something I want to do for myself. It’s my way to tell my disability to go to hell and have fun in the process. So what if I don’t make a profit? As long as I get my backers covered, get the product on the shelves and cover the bills… all is good (Even if some of that has to be out of pocket)
Oh yes, I love scotch, a good Doppelbock and numerous other idiosyncrasies. Currently loving to play Frostgrave and Infinity. We also have two dogs and five very controlling cats.

Risks and challenges
March: Complete funding drive Pledge manager up and running.Prototype samples to printer for assessment (In other words.. how much we can cram (into a mold and what we need to cast in multiple pieces)
April: Masters printed and assessed. Masters to casting, molds made
May: Master continue to be printed and assessed. Casting begins in multiple places. Product assessment
June: Casting, binning and painting
July: Casting, binning and painting
August: Even more casting, binning and painting
September: Guess what we are going to be doing? More casting, binning and painting. October: Wrap up on casting, binning and painting. Begin to start sorting and packing
November: Sorting and packing like insane kobolds who are lit on fire. Painters continue.
December: Ship like mad to get it to everyone before the holidays. International packages we will try to ship even early so that you get yours before as well. (For Europe, we are shipping to a central point and they are then being mailed from there) Guess who keeps painting?
January: Wave 2 gets completed and shipped
February: Wave 3 gets completed and shipped
Again, I myself am doing this as my full time job. That and the other help we have
will ensure that we do this.
Remember, if you opt to have stretch goals painted then your delivery is pushed back one month. If you opt for two deliveries (main items/stretch goals) then shipping and handling on the second deliver will need to be covered by the backer.
As with any project like this there will always be risks and hazards that can fall in the way. We have a very low overhead so production will not be an issue. The largest issue that we see as a problem is quality control running into delivery time. IF this an issue complete pictures and explanations will be given along with constant communication. If anyone is not completely happy with their product, please return it to us for a refund.
Here is our development process for the furnishings:
1. Design of initial piece. This includes checking to see if it manifold, cutting it apart digitally for molding if needed and checking overall appearance.
2. Test Print: This is printed on standard 3d printers to get an initial look at the product.
3. Master: This is the master printing we receive for QC. This is outsourced to two places. One in the United States and one in Poland.
4. Mold and Cast: We then send the master to be me molded and cast and then shipped back to us for final QC and then shipped to our backers.
The most important thing is the we understand and know our budget and have calculated the possibility of larger than expected number of backers without cost overrun or delays. There has been far too many Kickstarter fumbles and this is not going to be one if I have to pay out of pocket to cover. Product gets to backers first. End of discussion.
