About this project
Thank you for your unbelievable support !
We love Hi-Tec-C pens. If you've ever written with one, you know what we're talking about. If you haven't heard of these pens, check out jetpen's blurb.http://bit.ly/hitecc
Pen Type-A is a stainless steel replacement for the Hi-Tec-C's cheap plastic housing. To us, the Hi-Tec-C cartridges deserve a more durable home.
The design is minimal, the construction is super solid, and indestructible to protect and cherish these coveted ink cartridges. It has a dime screw on one end to allow for easy ink cartridge replacement. Its shaft is a solid smooth surface with no branding, no fancy grip or grooves, and just the right thickness and weight so it feels comfortable in your hand. The entire piece is milled and turned from a block of 304 stainless steel. The raw steel finish today is how it’ll look 50 years from now. This thing will last forever.
The pen slides slowly into its sleeve, which doubles as a ruler. The notches on the ruler are in cm and inches. An internal lip at the bottom of the sleeve protects the tip from getting shoved in any further than it should. The tiny amount of space between the sleeve and the pen creates an effect like a pneumatic cylinder, so the pen slides in slow and smooth.
We'd love to share our passion for this pen.
With your support, we'd like to gather enough pre-orders to cover the tooling costs to get this pen into your hands. It also makes a great gift, so we've opened up higher pledges for those of you who want more than one.
Your support is greatly appreciated!

You kind of have to just try it. A little googling will also bring up a lot.
Definitely not. I dare you.
After the campaign ends, you will receive an email requesting your shipping address.
Here’s what we’re thinking :
We can access the kickstarter funds 3 weeks after the campaign ends. Fabrication and sourcing will take approximately 45 days after that. If we waited for all that to happen, you wouldn’t have your pens until sometime in late October. Way too long!
Here’s what’s happening :
We are gearing up to deliver the pens mid-September!
Thanks to your enthusiasm, we have been able to negotiate with our manufacturers and suppliers to move things forward before the campaign ends.
We are trying to time everything perfectly so the stainless parts, ink cartridges, and packaging all come together in early September. We will do our best to make sure everything goes according to plan.
We love you! and....you can pledge $50 x the number of pens you would like.
We'll ship the pen with a 0.3mm black ink cartridge, but if you want a different size or color, search for Hi-Tec-C in your favorite search engine textbox.
For a few bucks, you can get your favorite width or color. There are several fine pen stores online that carry Hi-Tec-C pens. Even ebay has some.
We'd love to do it for you, but we don't have a laser engraver :(
To laser engrave your pen, or pen sleeve, search for "Jewelry Engraving" and find a local jeweler or laser shop that could make your pen extra special.
