Short update and 20th year Cwali-booth
Latest message from the final factory still is from 2017-09-14 08:58. This text:
"Here is the updates about the Powerships games:
1). Plastic tray already done.
2). Mass printing already done, just no die-cut & final treatments like varnish or linen etc.
Really sorry to say that the production should be a bit delay than we promosied before, because we met with one trouble that beyond our control. as you might heared the news from somewhere, our government started the thourough enviroment inspection from last month, our industrial area was inspected from last week, they forced all factories be closed for 10~15 days, we'll try our best to finish the goods ASAP while restarting the production."
The die-cut knifes were made, die-cutting and final treatment (whatever that is for this game) can go very fast. So if I'm well-informed, the games can be ready any moment. But never cheer before you have it in your hands. Sorry that it takes much longer than estimated.
- For the Essen-fair (Cwali-booth 1-G125) pick-ups (56 games, 33 persons): We try to get these *Powerships* transported to our fair booth. Can't tell now if that succeeds. Otherwise you get it sent at our expense.
- For the Essen-fair (Cwali-booth 1-G125) sales: We try to get some more *Powerships* transported to our fair booth. Can't tell now if that succeeds.
About 850 of the 1000 printrun are pre-ordered. That means, in practice, that about 100 remain for sale. You can still order *Powerships* today or later for pick-up at the Essen-fair, but the transport costs (see in Update #6) get added if we don't have the games at the Essen-fair.
26th-29th october it's the 20th Cwali-booth at the Essen-fair (after experimenting a shared booth with Pseudon, Splotter and Think Games). The first multi-player thematical game I sold at that time was first named *Visjes*, later named *Ocean*, later re-implemented in the 2-player game *SeaSim*. (BTW: The photo of *Ocean* (1998, not the 1999 Adlung game) at BGG is from the later *SeaSim* game.) *SeaSim* still is cool, if using the variant rules with adding the Orca, Virus and Wave (which are in the game box).
To celebrate the 20 years milestone, we will sell *SeaSim* for 20 eurocents! With these restrictions:
- Preorder not possible.
- No spare change, so pay what you want. Per game one coin/note of at least 20 cents. So if you use a 100,- cash note, *SeaSim* costs 100,-. :)
- Sent me a congratulation email after the Essen-fair, to get added to my newsletter email list.
