Both Genevieve FT (@genevieveft) and Nic ter Horst (@nicterhorst) have dreamed of making figures since we saw our favourite artists making them. We found a company that suited us perfectly, ilovefigure.com.
The figures stand at around 15-15.5cm/6in tall and include a base. The colours will be roughly what is seen in the kickstarter video, with the addition of tattoos and nipple tape on Nic's punk girl figure, and a red heart on the necklace of Genevieve FT's kitty girl figure.
We've made reward tiers for every kind of backer! Whether you'd like a figure, or just to support the project, we've made sure that backing the KickStarter is accessible to all of our fans. We're especially excited to offer exclusive print collections from ourselves, and from a selection of five amazing guest artists as a mid range tier. Their artwork for the prints, as well as ours, will be revealed throughout the campaign!
Here is the pie chart with the breakdown of our costs! As you can see, most of the budget is going into the actual production of the figures. Beyond that, producing the other rewards is the largest part of the budget. The shipping, kickstarter fees, and any other incidentals make up the last two slices, and will hopefully cover any unexpected costs!
We weren't expecting to need stretch goals so soon, but here we are! We'll keep these updated as the KickStarter progresses, so check back for updates!
$20 000 CAD - Extra Figures (COMPLETE)
We've had a ton of questions about if there will be figures available after the campaign. We're only able to do this one casting run, so our first stretch goal will be to produce a run of at least 50 figures that we'll have to bring to conventions in 2017!
$25 000 CAD - Post Cards, Wallpapers & Artist Bonus! (COMPLETE)
If we hit $25 000, Gen and Nic will produce a second piece of KickStarter exclusive art! Then we will print them, along with the Cutie Corps logo, as 5x7" post cards!
They will be three 5x7" post cards that ship with all physical orders! The new artwork will be Cutie Corps themed and will also be made into more wallpapers for our digital package!
We will also give our guest artists a bonus for all their help!
$30 000 CAD - Cutie Corps Ultimate Pack!
Every physical order will ship with 10 5x7" post cards featuring all of the KickStarter exclusive art (5 guest prints, 2 by Nic, 2 by Gen and the Cutie Corps logo), a die-cut Cutie Corps sticker, and a Cutie Corps logo pinback button!
More Coming Soon...
To add some variety to our rewards tiers, we reached out to some of our favourite artists to see if they'd like to participate and help us raise funds for our project. All of them are extremely talented pin up artists, and we are so excited to be offering exclusive prints from these amazing artists to our backers!
Who are we?
Genevieve FT and Nic ter Horst are pin up artists! Both of us had formal animation training and have since gone into comics and animation respectively. We met online through following each other's art, and have since discovered we absolutely love working together.
Cutie Corps was born out of our convention partnership. We love drawing diverse ladies of all shapes, sizes, genders, and colours, and we realised that we were (unfortunately) cornering a bit of a niche market. In the hopes of promoting diversity in pin up art, a phenomenally empowering art form, we created Cutie Corps to both promote our work together, and to use our collective reach to promote other artists who were creating diverse, empowered pinups.
More information on Cutie Corps as a project can be found at cutiecorps.com/info.

Risks and challenges
The risks with this project are all on the production and shipping side. The company needs to finish the figures, ship them to us, and then we need to ship them out.
We tried to combat this by getting the prototypes and colour masters done prior to starting the project - this way, they're already under production as the kickstarter is going on!
Otherwise, we are on the lookout for problems and solutions that may arise with shipping, and are working through all the scenarios to make sure that we can gain valuable experience completing this project, and can get up and hit the ground running on one of many future projects we have in mind!
We will also be sending surveys out to backers when we are ready to ship, rather than immediately after the campaign! That way, if you move the time it takes us to ship, it's no big deal.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
