Watch the first scene of the movie in this exclusive 5-minute sneak peak! Plus, go behind the scenes with a short interview with writers Scotty and Danny Bohnen.
"She Walks The Woods" is a found-footage feature film inspired by the likes of "Evil Dead" and "The Blair Witch Project" about four explorers who learn why hundreds of people disappear in our national parks every year.
Mike and Brad Rayburn host "Ultimate Survival", a YouTube series about exploring and surviving in nature. Together with their camera man, Dennis, the thrill seekers are constantly trying to push the envelope to attract viewers.
When Dennis' friend Hope offers her family's isolated cabin as a shooting location, they jump at the chance - but the team is going to find more adventure then they bargained for. Because the woods are waiting for them. And the woods are hungry.
Found footage horror can be immersive - but it can also be an excuse to cheap out on creatures, gore, and scares. That's what makes "She Walks The Woods" so special - we're not going to hide the good stuff behind found footage. This movie delivers - and the last fifteen minutes will scare the hell out of you!
Mike Rayburn (Danny Bohnen)
Mike Rayburn is the driving force of the group and the web series they’re trying to create. He knows he’s not getting any younger and he’s out to capture the best footage possible, no matter what the cost.
Actor/producer/writer born Daniel Ross Bohnen on September 22nd 1985 in Longmont, Colorado, he is twin brother to Scotty Bohnen. Danny grew up performing at his family's dinner theatre (Jesters Dinner Theatre) and has played every role from Tiny Tim to Jekyll & Hyde.
Before pursuing his dream career of filmmaking and acting, Danny was a firefighter/EMT, amateur mixed martial arts fighter and an e-commerce entrepreneur.
He is well known as the co-host (alongside his brother) of The Cult Classic Horror Show, a top rated podcast. He just finished principle photography on his first executive produced feature, She Walks the Woods, in which he also stars as an actor.
Aside from acting, Danny is the guitar player of Poolside at the Flamingo, an internationally recognized grind-core band.
Hope (Vivenne Edridge)
Hope is looking for excitement and adventure so when she finds out her old college “friend” Dennis is making a survival web series she rushes to offer up her parent’s land as a prime filming location.
Vivienne has been in the entertainment industry for 10 years and has loved every minute of it. She graduated from The University of Colorado, Boulder with a major in Film Studies. She loves all things that have to do with the film and TV industry and will work in it in any aspect she can, though acting is her main passion. She continues to grow in her craft through workshops and coaching with industry professionals and is always on the lookout for ways to improve and continue on the path to do what she loves most - create and inspire through the art of acting.
Dennis Copley (Jason Potter)
Dennis is the tech geek and camera operator of the crew. He’s very organized and knows his stuff. He’s hopeful to spark up an old flame when Hope comes along.
Jason is feisty, powerful and plays unpredictable characters with charm and humor. His editing and directing background allows him to have a behind the scenes understanding of the process. Off set he is fun, kind and adventurous. His talents extend into music with a wide array of instruments (known mostly for guitar) and fully composed pieces. Jason works everyday to constantly find new ways to enhance his skill sets and extend into learning new ones. His love for the craft runs parallel to his optimism in life.
Brad Rayburn (Scotty Bohnen)
Brad Rayburn is Mike’s brother and he’s just out to have a good time. He’s always joking around and seems easy-going but he loses his “cool” easily when under pressure.
Scotty Bohnen is an actor & producer born and raised in Colorado. He grew up doing theatre at his family's dinner theatre in Longmont, Colorado where he played rolls such as Radames (Aida), Beast (Beauty & the Beast), Billy Bigelow (Carousel), Cliff (Cabaret) and Marius in Les Miserables, to name a few.
He then started to pursue film acting in his late 20's. He is well known as the co-host, along side his twin brother, of The Cult Classic Horror Show, a top rated podcast. He just finished principle photography on his first executive produced feature , She Walks the Woods, in which he also stars as an actor.
Aside from acting, Scotty is the singer of Poolside at the Flamingo, an internationally recognized grindcore band. He also enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling and cheering on all Colorado sports teams.
She (Jessie Nerud)
She is an ancient creature of unknown origin who roams the woods, feasting on any living thing she comes across.
Jessie Nerud, a Colorado native, has lived a fearless and challenging life which in turn has created a fiercely driven and passionate actor with a unique set of qualities. A classical film and television acting training that she acquired at NYCDA in New York City has set her apart from the rest when it comes to professionalism and hard work on set. Roles that she continually books are quirky, silly and sarcastic yet that doesn't defer from her subtle strength with dramatic roles. In her latest film 'She Walks the Woods' she plays the lead monster. She books in several markets, has representation in CO, NM and GA and crews love working with her because of her immense artistic drive and unique take on every project.

"She Walks The Woods" is a movie for horror fans, by horror fans. Featuring the talents of:
Jeremy Cumrine ("Hunter William" / Production Assistant)
Jeremy is a fun and spontaneous person who plays characters with a mysterious/enticing persona who will surprise you with a quiet yet abrupt performance. However, Jeremy can also expand to the comedic or even the well grounded/serious hero of the story. While doing great things in Colorado, Jeremy is gaining experience in the TV/film industry in New Mexico.
Jeremy has done serious roles in Terrene and using many non verbals to tell the story in "Breathe", a music video by Laura Brehm. We also get to see a fun and wild side in his film Chrome as well as #disconnected. Off set he is a kind, compassionate and a daring person who loves to travel, ride motorcycles and play music. Growing up, Jeremy had set his sights on music, playing guitar, piano and bass. After touring for a couple of years, he realized that music just wasn't for him or the career he wanted. Now, Jeremy helps run a brewery that him and 3 of his friends built from the inside out in Brighton Colorado.
Brandon Shaffer ("Hunter Jim" / Production Assistant)
Brandon Michael Shaffer is an American TV/Film actor from Denver, CO. His professional training includes advanced TV/Film work, as well as Improvisation Theater. Brandon explores a broad range of roles and characters, but frequently reads for young professionals who aren't quite ready to do the right thing; as well as frat guys, good friends, good/bad boyfriends, and anything outdoorsy. His favorite roles/characters lend to his vulnerability, and ability to relate, which carry over into his personal life.
Brandon loves golf, and has been playing since he was 4 years old when his parents gifted him with toy golf clubs. Brandon also played competitive baseball all throughout his childhood, into freshman year at Columbine High School. When he was 7, he began to explore his love for acting at Younger Generation Players, a small theater in the Denver area, where he performed in several small productions. Brandon's hobbies include softball, marathon running, spartan races, fitness, concerts, Texas hold 'em poker, snowboarding, camping, fishing, traveling, and being around friends and family. Brandon is extremely close to big blended family; his mom, dad, step-dad, brother, and two sisters are the most important part of his life.
Taylor Morgan ("Hunter James")

His father worked in the oilfield while his mother owned and operated an antique store. Having a foot in both his parents work world, Taylor felt the need to always put on a show and make those around him laugh.
While he and his friends would constantly sneak into a reporters frame during live news to be on TV, Taylor also knew this was the path he wanted to take by always being on the screen to make the world laugh. His big break came when he was fortunate enough to work with Ulrich Thompson and Oscar winner Anthony Dodd Mantle on the film Gutterbee.
