I am excited to inform you that mass production of the watch module (the guts that fit inside the watch) and of the COOKOO keychain are scheduled to begin next week. Of course, I will be traveling to Hong Kong and China to oversee the manufacturing of the COOKOO keychain (renamed COOKOO smart keyfob) and COOKOO watch (renamed COOKOO connected watch) and will be departing shortly.
What does this mean for you?
- The COOKOO smart keyfob should ship to backers in mid-October.
- The COOKOO connected watch will start to ship to first backers on the first week of November
- The COOKOO connected watch will ship to most backers on the 2 and 3rd weeks of November.
- The COOKOO connected watch will ship to last backers in-time for Christmas in December.
Rest assured - I am doing what it takes so that you can have your product in-hand by the first weeks of November.
IOS APP UPDATE
Our IOS development is proceeding well. We are ironing-out the last enhancements for the first release of the app with the expectation to launch the app before keychains arrive stateside. At the same time, we will be releasing our APIs to backers who backed at the developer level.
We will then immediately be rolling into the second phase of development and will be adding enhancements such as the play/pause feature, and other improvements based-on what we have learned from our BETA customers and backers.
ANDROID APP UPDATE
As noted - the Android app will be lagging the iOS app by about a month. Please be patient as we work through the challenges presented by the Android OS's fragmented implementation of Bluetooth 4.0 technology. We are confident that we will overcome these challenges and will have an app for you by the time the watches arrive stateside or shortly thereafter.
That's all for now - please wish me luck as we move into the final phases of this very exciting development.
COOKOO™ partners with Clearshot™ to create the perfect bundle - an iPhone stand + keychain so that you can take remote pictures with ease.
