Music Control is Coming Soon!

Hi Backers,

I wanted to share with you some great news.  We have added and are now testing Music Control!  While it won't be in the version of the COOKOO App that is in review right now - it will be in the next release of the app which is scheduled to be submitted to the app store shortly after the first app is released.

Check out the short video I just created while here at the Hong Kong airport on may way home from the COOKOO watch factory.  I'll be testing this new app feature throughout the flight but already I'm cooled-out by it.

Regarding Android - I'll be posting the technical update after I return stateside and have convened with the team.

Thanks again for your continued support!

Peter

      @Peter

Will the cookoo ship with the cool birdhouse boxing or will it be a barebones affair?

    3. Creator Nathan Scott on November 15, 2012

Kickstarter isn't a storefront. You might get a finished product if you pledge enough. You might get nothing at all. Are all android users so ignorant, or do most accept at worse they get a watch instead of nothing?

"Once the underlying Bluetooth 4.0 issues has been resolved, we see no issue at this time in delivering the full experience promised at the onset of the project. " IF they can be resolved.. :(

@Android users - as noted - I will be posting an update just for you with both a technical description of what we have accomplished to-date, what is still to be done, and where the underlying technical issues lie that have yet to be resolved, along with a call to action for Android users who may be able to assist in resolving them. Once the underlying Bluetooth 4.0 issues has been resolved, we see no issue at this time in delivering the full experience promised at the onset of the project.
@Penn Dalton - good thing they didn't catch me eh? :) And yes - play, pause, skip, and stop worked great!
@all who have sent messages of encouragement or stepped-in when I was unable to respond to questions yet due to travel etc. - thank you for your continued support.

I am guessing between production of the initial productitself and testing of the iOS app there hasn't been much time to expand on the complications of an Android app for the watch. In due time I would expect a complete debrief on the challenges of an Android app and the platform itself.

Judging from what I have read about how fragmented Android OS updates are, I would expect mixed success with this watch.

    7. Creator Jay Keeley on November 14, 2012

seems like a huge lack of information about android. Will be disappointed if it's features don't match those of the iOS app.

    8. Creator Kititep Theeraprawat on November 14, 2012

Will the update on the Android give us enough time to cancel our orders, if it looks like the app might be indefinitely delayed?

    9. Creator Jaan Hua on November 14, 2012

Nice. When we gonna get the watch??? Oh ya. Do check your product before ship out, I don't want happily receive the watch have problem with it.

...Wait I miscounted, we can still tell time, that part hasn't been broken yet has it?

    11. Creator Paul M. Branson on November 14, 2012

Wow, iOS gets another feature and Android still gets a grand total of ZERO. I strongly suggest re-evaluating your development priorities ASAP if you ever expect to win back the affections of your Android users.

You know you can't use two way communication devices during flights, right? That includes bluetooth...

Hey Mr. Hauser, how about some statistics of your backers?

How many iOS and Android backers?

You should make this question in a survey or something like that.

Cheers and waiting to use that clock with android. ;-)
