@myongryol @colonel fubar @don - Don is correct in that the tool is provided to help people change their bands themselves without harming the pin or watch and without having to take it to a watch maker or jeweler. As for the option of providing individual bands - the logistics of managing individual bands for backers was deemed too complex to manage without impacting delivery schedules. Hence we needed to stick with the four-band package that backers could simply add to their pledges.
The tool was to enable you to change the band yourself, versus taking it to a jeweler. At least that was my impression.
Why a special tool ?
Don't the watchmakers have the appropriate tools to change the wrist band ? Are you non-standard compliant ?
need 1 extra band pledge option~~ :)
i guess... 4 extra bands is too much for me ....
Great option but 4 bands is too much for me. I'm in for a 1 extra band option for $15 without the tool. :)
@Gabe - thanks
@Xavier - these are high quality silicone wristbands with etched stainless steel buckles. We are also including the tool that jewelers use to remove and replace wristbands. I would argue that this is a great value for Kickstarters and much cheaper than the individual wristbands will retail for this fall.
$49 for four wristbands seems pretty steep to be honest. What makes these wristbands special?
Great idea, going to update my pledge soon!!!
