About this project
We’re humbled by the support we’ve received, and we’re announcing our first stretch goal.
7k - A short film and two webshows! - FUNDED
9k - Additional episodes of Human Harvest!
Every dollar over our goal will make the film better and give us more freedom to create additional content for you.
The GOLIATH is the gigantic robot now guarding Derleth State Penitentiary. Derleth used to be awful; some would have called it hell on earth. The convicts were dangerous, with factions constantly at war with one another, and the guards couldn't step in for fear of their lives and the lives of their families.
The GOLIATH has changed all of that. The threat of a robot with the programs necessary to hunt and the weapons built to decimate human life has kept the prisoners in line.
Reporter Jena Ortiz goes in with the hopes of getting the scoop on how the warden managed to tame Derleth State. What she doesn't count on is the GOLIATH going berserk. Now she may never get out.
No one is safe. The gangs must unite under the leadership of a man doing time for a non-violent offense. They must work together to take down a walking tank with nothing more than six shivs, a flashlight, and an uneasy alliance.

We want you to be a part of GOLIATH. We want this to be an experience, a community, not just a film. We want to draw you into the world of GOLIATH, with concept art, behind-the-scenes footage, and even two special companion webshows created just for Kickstarter.
We've already raised some money, enough that our shoot is already planned out. We have rented our abandoned prison. We have reserved our equipment. We've put together an all-star cast and crew.
What's missing is the robot.
We're hoping to raise robot money ("finishing funds" if you want to get technical) because without the GOLIATH, the film is just a bunch of people getting scared of a great big blank space slightly to their left.
Right now, we are financing a short film, proof of concept version of GOLIATH. It ends on a cliffhanger, but we have a full-length feature script as well, and we would love the opportunity to film that as well one day. Maybe if we build an audience with this short film, we will get that chance.
Risks and challenges
Production itself isn't likely to be an issue. The problems that could arise will all come from the post-production side of things. Post-production would include adding in all of the elements that aren't captured directly on film, including but not limited to the GOLIATH robot itself.
The biggest challenge comes from the fact that this is a side-project that all of us are working on - we all have day jobs so that we can actually make rent and support ourselves and our families. Unfortunately, those bread-winning jobs will have to be our priority, no matter how much we would rather be working on GOLIATH instead. This means we will have trouble predicting when the short will be ready to go live.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
