The fantasy/adventure novel of a modern day man flung into a world of mythical beings and ancient beliefs.
Welcome to my art project on Kickstarter, The Quest of Arryn-Kaan. It is a fictional novel. It is a Fantasy/Adventure. It will take you on a modern day journey with a person who is basically a spoiled, rich kid that has never had to want for anything in his life, but for the first time in his life, he is thrown into a world where he will have to fight for the one thing that is most important to him. At this point, I'm working on finalizing the details, then it will have to go to the copy-editors. They will help with continuity issues and help finalize the book. I will also be working with a couple of artists on the illustrations to help depict some of the larger scenes in the book. The only way I can do any of this is for you to help me and that is why I chose Kickstarter. I've seen a lot of success here and I hope that my project will be as successful as some of the other ones. So, please look over my project and look over the incentives, and I really hope you help make "The Quest of Arryn-Kaan" a reality.
Imagine your reaction if you were pulled into a world filled with magic and mythical beings... beings that you would have never imagined could possibly exist outside your imagination... and that hidden world exists now, within our modern civilization.
"The Quest of Arryn-Kaan" will take you on a modern day journey that will not only reveal the existence of these beings, but thrust our hero, Daniel Wainwright, on a quest to prove his honor and the strength of his heart.
Though the quest seems simple enough to a young man that has never had to want for anything in his life, you will join him on a path that will prove to be far more twisted and dangerous than our hero could have ever imagined... a path that will force him, for the first time, to fight for the one thing he truly wants out of life or lose everything forever.
Ten years ago, I published my first book called "Amplified" at a time when I simply needed to feel that I'd accomplished something in my life and in my writing career. It gave me a great deal of pride to hold "my book" in my hands, even though I knew deep down that I had published it in an unfinished state, because I simply did not have the means and support to fully accomplish a final product.
"The Quest of Arryn-Kaan" has been in the works for a couple of years, but I am now nearing that same pivotal point in it's creation and am faced with the same complications. After adding more detail to the manuscript, I will need a professional copy-editor to offer his/her skills to the task of helping me perfect the final copy.
At the same time, I wish to hire an artist to produce 8 to 10 illustrations of the most important scenes in the book in order to fully portray to my readers the grandeur that is locked away in my mind.
All support, once my goal is reached, will go toward the final version of "The Quest of Arryn-Kaan" in eBook, soft cover and hard cover versions. Any support past my goal will go directly toward the production of the yet unnamed sequel that is already in my head (just waiting to be released onto paper).
