The Festival Circuit and DVDs

Hello everyone!

Keeper Of The Mountains is officially on tour! It premiered in May at Mountainfilm in Telluride and it has since screened at 16 festivals, received 10 awards (most recently a Special Jury Mention at the Banff Mountain Film & Book Festival), and is on world tour with Mountainfilm and Banff. Just this past Friday it screened at the Lincoln Center in NYC as part of Mountainfilm's World Tour!!

Elizabeth Hawley saw the film at a special screening and celebration in her honor at the U.S. amabassador's house in Kathmandu earlier this year and she received a standing ovation from all her friends who attended. Thank you again so much everyone for supporting the project and for your interest in helping to share Elizabeth Hawley's story!

By now you should have all received your gift totes, t-shirts, buttons, and brownies. And if you've seen a screening, hopefully you caught your name in the credits where all the Kickstarter donors were thanked! The film will remain on the festival circuit through spring 2014, and then we plan to mail out the DVDs for the Kickstarter backers! And if you didn't receive your t-shirt, button, brownies, or tote yet, just let me know!

There are still screenings scheduled for this year, and I post the latest updates on the Keeper Of The Mountains Facebook page. If you're in the area of an upcoming screening, message me on Facebook or at smalldogonthegoproductions@gmail.com and I'd be happy to check on ticket deals for you:

New Keeper of the Mountains Trailer to Share

Hello everyone and Happy Holidays!

I'm really excited to share the new Keeper of the Mountains trailer we released today and we're closing in our goal of sharing the film in 2013! Thank you so much to everyone for all of your support and interest in this film. Also a huge thank you to editor Scott McElroy for his hard work and to composer Mark Crawford, whose music appears in the film. Mark composed a fantastic original theme song for the film, which is featured in the trailer. I like to think of it as "Miss Hawley's Theme," because I think it reflects her wit, personality, and her dedicated pursuit of Himalayan mountaineering data.

Below is the link to video and please share it on your facebook pages, email it to your friends, and above all I hope you enjoy it very much! This film couldn't have been made without you all, and it means so much that you all took an interest in the project and in seeing Miss Hawley's story brought to life.

So without further ado, the new trailer for Keeper of the Mountains!!

Sincerely,

Allison Otto, Director/Cinematographer

Kickstarter Buttons Shipped

Hello,

Just a quick update to let you all know that the Keeper of the Mountains buttons, featuring Elizabeth Hawley's iconic blue VW Beetle were shipped earlier this week! If you did not provide your mailing address on your Kickstarter forms but would like a pin, please message me with your address. They should start arriving in your mailboxes today, so please keep an eye out for them and please post a picture of yourself with your pin on the Keeper of the Mountains facebook page! I'd love to see them! And if you haven't had a chance yet to "Like" the facebook page, it's a great spot to check out the latest on the film.

Next up: a return trip to Kathmandu to film Miss Hawley during what's shaping up to be a very exciting and busy spring climbing season!

Thank you to everyone and I'll continue to keep you posted on the documentary's progress.

Sincerely,

Allison Otto, Director
