What would a cemetery be without a horde of undead? Skeletons, ghouls, zombies, ghosts and mummies in this pack of miniatures will make your adventures unique and scary! In addition we have kept an eye on a game that in recent years has often accompanied us in our work, we are talking about fantasy football, in fact these miniatures are not just monsters but can perfectly compose a team of undead for the famous game with the oval ball!
For these highly detailed miniatures we recommend a sla or dlp resin printer, but you can get excellent results even with fdm printers, our most expert customers have made really extraordinary prints in these years!
a 3D view of a model
Here is the real news, it is the first time that we try to create scenarios, and we hope you enjoy it. The idea comes from our summer holiday in Edinburgh, a beautiful city! But above all, rich in cemeteries and picturesque churches, for fans of wargames and role-playing games, it was normal to think: "Hey, do you know how it would be to set an adventure in a place like that??", So we got to work and after several months , and print test, we are pleased to present you our scenic package, "the gates of the cemetery"!
We have taken in over many photos that worked as a reference for our sculptures: you can find them on our amateur photo page:
tell us what you think of our parallel passion!
All the scenarios reported here have been tested and printed with a very economic Tevo Tornado in our possession, and without the aid of any support. The painting of these scenarios was extremely simple: a black background spray, and a dry brush with acrilic white represented 90% of the work, to complete the presentation: some small washing and retouching by hand as a finishing touch.
For these scenarios, a fdm print is suggested.
Taken from the impetus of sculpting we found ourselves sometimes creating elements that we can't categorize as miniature or scenic. These are three very particular sculptures:
Two monumental tombs
Very complex to be printed with traditional filament printers, at least without significantly increasing the size, we suggest to realize them with Sla / Dlp printers so as not to lose part of the details.
This wagon is designed to be printed with filament printers, as those with more experience and a good 3D printer will not need any additional support.. The horses are designed in fact to facilitate even the filament print, the wagon instead has been divided into several parts and then be able to reassemble.
As already happened in the past, our stretch goals are not outlined at the beginning, in fact during the campaign it is usual for us to listen to you, backers, to create new sculptures during the campaign according to your suggestions. Obviously it is not always easy to please everyone, but we do our best. We have therefore set only a few Stretch goals at the moment, but they can change during the campaign, so we are open to your proposals that you can see added to your pledge.
We have decided to immediately release the stretch goal of € 1600.
From the pre-campaign feedback we understood that it was essential to have these alternatives.
We did not know where to put this sculpture, miniature or scenic?
So we decided to launch this little idea.
The mimic - coffin will be available for all backers, even those who put 1 euro only, and will be available immediately, we have an update done with the download link reserved for backers only.
(you can find it in the update section)
So you can already start to have fun with our work.
Another small update for our beloved backers!
We followed one of your suggestions and we created an alternative piece for the crypts.
Ruined and partially collapsed roofs, to give a more sinister appearance to your graveyard.
Still a small addition, following one of your suggestions here is our interpretation of the nightmare.
Some simple elements but I think they will please many of you.
of the ruins of a circular building.
And broken tombstones.
Crosslances studios is founded by 3 artists and their commons passion for the world of games. Risks and challenges
Crosslances is a dynamic studio researching for innovation, our challenge is to renew ourselves by renewing our opening game, hoping it could give us a good lift.
We hope the world will always be more prepared to our little revolution: bringing 3D printable games into houses. Risks for customers are minimal, with a good preparation with your own 3D printer, it will impossible to have problems.
Biggest difficulties are found in supports positioning, in fact printing quality of complex objects can be improved wit adequate supports.
