You are not going to believe what we are doing! We are starting a project which seeks to preserve the greatest teachings in the world by Christian scholars and make them available to everyone!
New Testament Textual Criticism is our inaugural course and will be taught at the Credo House in Edmond, OK by New Testament scholar Daniel B. Wallace. He is widely known for his research in the area of New Testament Textual Criticism. Dr. Wallace will take the student through thirty 30-minute sessions of textual criticism, giving people a solid foundation on the history of the New Testament Text and how the New Testament was put together.
If we receive more funding than the projected 10k, we will use additional funding to enhance the production and hopefully film more Credo Courses that are already on the docket, including courses on the Resurrection and the Historical Jesus by Gary Habermas and Darrell Bock! So don't be afraid to launch this project into the stratosphere. The world needs this truth!
About Dr. Daniel B. Wallace
B.A., Biola University, 1975; Th.M., Dallas Theological Seminary, 1979; Ph.D., 1995.
Dr. Wallace influences students across the country through his textbook on intermediate Greek grammar. It has become the standard textbook in the English-speaking world on that subject. He is a member of the Society of New Testament Studies, the Institute for Biblical Research, the Society of Biblical Literature, and the Evangelical Theological Society. Dr. Wallace is also the senior New Testament editor of the NET Bible and coeditor of the NET-Nestle Greek-English diglot. He has been a consultant on four different Bible translations. Recently his scholarship has begun to focus on John, Mark, and nascent Christology. He works extensively in textual criticism, and has founded The Center for the Study of New Testament Manuscripts (csntm.org), an institute with an initial purpose of preserving Scripture by taking digital photographs of all known Greek New Testament manuscripts. He has traveled the world in search of biblical manuscripts. His postdoctoral work includes work on Greek grammar at Tyndale House in Cambridge, textual criticism studies at the Institut für neutestamentliche Textforschung in Münster, and the Universität Tübingen, Germany. He is in demand as a speaker at churches, colleges, and conferences. Dr. Wallace and his wife, Pati, have four adult sons, three wonderful daughters-in-law, and a beautiful granddaughter. They also have two dogs and one cat. They like the dogs.
Please Help Us Kickstart the Best Biblical Scholarship
The Credo House team and the production team can’t wait to see this a reality. Filming will start within weeks of the project being funded. For those who are tired of today's church being so anti-intellectual and adrift at sea with no anchor, this is an opportunity to bring something different to reality. Let’s turn the tides toward a new age of humble theological depth.
Risks and challenges
Our risks appear to be fairly minimal on this project. Our first three professors: Dr. Daniel B. Wallace; Dr. Darrell Bock and Dr. Gary Habermas have all agreed to the terms of the project and are all very excited to produce this for the Church.
Dr. Wallace is already scheduled and as soon as the project is funded the proper production equipment and personnel will be secured. Any major project will have unforeseen complexities but since we have already successfully produced and delivered a similar Kickstarter Project on Church History ( http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/573198038/church-history ) we know the level of work to expect and we are excited to deliver.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
