About this project

Welcome To Our World... vol. II presented by Creative Nests showcases 8 choreographers in their artistic endeavors of exploring and explaining our world. Creative Nests is a company produced out of the desire to make life easier for artists by providing resources and access to many emerging artists in the area in which community and working partnerships can be formed. The production will feature original works from the artists' perspectives that allow for new conversations to form about the world we live in. Support our show and allow for a visceral experience of breaking the 4th wall to take place.

The show will take place at the Fasseas Whitebox Theater at the Drucker Center on Friday February 22nd and Saturday February 23rd, 2013. The show will include 8 pieces that intersect dance, film, and music.

The money donated will be go towards funding for space rental, marketing expenses, and to support documentation of the event. A small cut will go towards paying the artists for their work.

Risks and challenges

Our biggest challenge is being a young company with no federal funding and relying on independent donations as our main source of funding. There are always risks when it comes to collaborating with others. When relying on one another, you have to put trust into both parties putting as much time and effort into the project.
