About this project
Thanks for checking out our Kickstarter page! If you haven’t viewed our four-minute clip at the top of this page, please do so! Our movie is called Crazy Murder, and it is a feature-length film about killing. It is being spearheaded by two best friends and producers, Doug Gerber and Caleb Pennypacker. Doug will be in charge of production and post production in New York, and Caleb will be supervising visual effects and other post production in Los Angeles.
This movie will be extremely violent from start to finish. We are using a hybrid blend of high level 3D CGI and practical visual effects that can withstand frame-by-frame analysis. But please understand that this movie will not be “gore porn”. The violence will be shown clearly and honestly. However, it will be shown in a way where the visuals only serve to deepen the emotional impact.
The Killer, our hero, wanders the city streets. He is homeless, and extremely hostile. He suffers from severe psychosis, his every act is unpredictable. Only one thing is certain: he feels an exceptional urge to kill people - and so he does. Each day and night, The Killer commits murder.
Because this movie is centered around a person who does nothing but scream at himself and kill people, the plot and story arch will inherently be different than what we are normally used to. We stay with the character of the killer throughout the entire film. There is no sexy, maverick cop who cracks the case.
We already have all of our equipment, (camera, light, and sound). We also have full 3D visual effects service. Your contributions will go directly to on-screen assets. Things like locations, makeup, supplies, and visual effects equipment will be invested in with the money.
With your contribution, we can finish this movie and realize our dream.
Remember: No filler. Just Killer.
