Frequently Asked Questions
We do not pretend that they are made in US, that fact is clearly stated in the project page. All rewards are made in our own workshop in Jakarta, Indonesia The hometown of 2 members of the team. Having our workshop is great in that we can watch over the whole production process.Last updated:
As the saying goes, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. If our words can't convince you, then take those of your fellow backers who have received our products.
You can see the comments on our previous project. We deliver high quality rewards, made with great leather!
I wrote this on launch day, and I see that we have returning backers already, great to have you on board once again! This is a shout out to you all!Last updated:
Additional colors come with their own minimum quantity requirements for each color and each thickness from our tannery partner and we need 3 thicknesses for each color. Add to that the fact that if we reach the stretch goals , that would mean we will be making a lot more rewards, which means we’d need to take measures if we want to keep to our deadline, resulting in more costs.
There is also a reason we put Rust as the second color stretch goal, while the other 3 are color variants of the same finish, Rust is different. The finish applied to Rust has a waxier feel compared to the others. So if Espresso, Fox & Sand are leather type 1a, 1b, 1c, Rust can be said as type 2, and our tannery partner gave us a different MQT compared to the rest.
As for the additional bonuses, well, we calculated that the stretch goal points are where we can absorb the costs, to provide it for you.Last updated:
Yes we are, but we’re not making it a top priority, the reason being that stamping each reward takes a lot of time, and we’re expecting a higher pledge this time add to that the complex variety of the rewards.
You will be able to choose to stamp your initials or name at no extra cost in the survey. (Letters only, no numbers, no characters, up to 3 letters will be stamped with bigger stamps; more than 3 letters will be with smaller stamps).
Please note that stamped rewards might be sent later vs the non-stamped ones.Last updated:
That’s the amount we’re pretty confident we can deliver on the deadline, as it fills up, we will open more with later delivery date.Last updated:
Well..the Wrap series is made totally from the thickest leather we use, usually only used on the body straps and shoulder straps. Being the thickest = the most expensive leather we use and we can only afford the absolute minimum quantity order of that thickness. Reaching the stretch goal means we will be able to balance our budget to buy more of that leather and release the Wrap series.Last updated:
Ok, that was not the intention!..Well not totally anyway :). When we did our studio shoot, not a lot of Rust bags were already made because we were only given a small sample. After the shoot we received some more, made bags & journals from them, wow. they look awesome and thought, lets do some ambient light shoot with them to make the photos more varied. Having said all that we'd be really stoked if we reach Rust stretch goal!Last updated:
Your first project was a overpledged, why are you back in Kickstarter? Can't you just sell them yourself?
Ok, the first project was overpledged, but if you look at the updates, we did some post project free upgrades, both on the rewards, and also on shipping method. It was a success, it doesn't mean that we ended up with huge profits that can enable us to sustain production. So we're back because we want to be able to start this whole collection, and given it's scope, ( 6 items in 1st project vs 64 in this one with stretch goals) we can't do this without your support.Last updated:
We received great feedbacks from our backers on how to convey the message better. As the project goes on, we made changes to accommodate those feedbacks we think will make the project page better. So thanks for the suggestions guys!Last updated:
1. Check the right column, click "Manage Your Pledge" button in blue under the number of "days to go".
2. That will bring you to the manage pledge page.
3. Calculate your total pledge by referring to the last update. (remember the initial pledge is of the highest tier reward you want, so you can't pledge for a cardholder and then add the add-on price of a bag. It's the other way around.
4. Enter the number manually in the box.
5. If the highest priced reward in your pledge doesn't change, you don't have to change the "Reward Selection" part.
6. If it is, then you scroll down until you find it and choose that.
7. Click "Continue to next step"
8. After that it will take you to the Amazon payment.Last updated:
