End of Kickstarter TRI-BEER(tm) thank-you!

This has been an epic journey, without a doubt, and at times like these, when words on virtual paper just aren't enough, there is really only one recourse, TRI-BEER(tm).  So, instead of rambling on, I leave you with this video...

I'm type better when I am drinking. State-learned behavior ;)
I make no sense whatsoever, but I punctuate pretty well. You should hear me enunciate. If you need voice-over acting, I am your guy. I have DJ'd a while now. My voice is like softened-silk tumble-dried with like 80 sheets of bounce.

    2. Becky, Oracle of Valoria on May 22, 2012

Couldn't stop laughing at the tri-beer! It looked much tastier than the stale flat microbeer of success... and I am glad to see that your latest innovation did not include tea as one of the three secret ingredients! :D

    3. Antonidas|Archmage of the Obsidian Order on May 21, 2012

      hmm...I can't seem to type properly, and I haven't been drinking. :P

    4. Antonidas|Archmage of the Obsidian Order on May 21, 2012

I suppose they can afford to hire a lot of more ppl now so they can avoid excessive the drinking :P

    5. David Hopson on May 21, 2012

I agree with nintendoninja and others. NO EA. I applaud you on taking this route to present this amazing game via Kickstarter. My only concern is that you will drink too much, of that killer beer behind you, and never be able to release it hahah!!! If you dissapear and become an Abbey Monk, I am going to be super pissed ;)

Please do not give this game to any of the major publishers, ESPECIALLY EA or Activision. If you have to, go to StarDock, or do a self publish. 99% of the publishers out there will destroy this game.

    7. nintendoninja on May 21, 2012

please don't give this game to EA

    8. Ladislav Pospěch on May 21, 2012

tri-beer: You have to put the beers in one line and drink as "cascade". We've tried it on festival once time with two of them (without tape, so both hands needed). Try that :)

    9. Grosher on May 20, 2012

The game finish with $750.000 or more

    10. Rot Inpain on May 20, 2012

@Martin: The KickStarter is complete, however they're going to allow people to continue to pre-order the game and support its development through the Grim Dawn website. You should check grimdawn dot com and click the "Buy Now" button in a couple days when Crate gets a chance to update the page.

I'm wondering if it is still possible to raise my pledge as I was on holidays and missed those great new in-game item updates but the the pledging ended with successful funding. Anyone?

as an old school legendary edition buyer and a kickstarter contributor, I will be very sad if TRI-BEER(tm) doesn't make the final game. in fact it should be one of the old school bonuses.

I'm with phaeton on this one. Coelho, can we see a source for that?

    16. Jean-Luc Nacif Coelho on May 19, 2012

phaeton recent studies show that small amounts of alcohol can increase concentration.

    17. Noe Ridgway on May 19, 2012

pheton - depends on the type of intellectual work being done. Science, math... those things don't go well with booze. Anything artistic or creative can certainly be helped by a bit of liquid inspiration. See: every rock band ever.

      Tri-beer : that's not very effective

...Tribeer does sound like it should show up in the ruined wasteland of grim dawn. 'It's made with three kinds of beer, in different densities, and layered thickly, the bubbles making the layers blend and twist. It seems like it might not be the best thing to imbibe, but it's better than Burrwitch Brew. Mostly. There's rumors that that's the second layer.'

    27. Michael Riser on May 19, 2012

Congratulations, guys. Really excited for you! Wishing I had more time to hang out on the forums and such, but too busy working on an MSS right now. Looking forward to seeing more and feeling pumped that you guys made it and hit every stretch goal. Glad I was able to contribute, too, and can't wait to see more.

Love the tri-beer. That should be an in-game item (seriously).

Very nice beer selection you guys have acquired there! I'd definitely start with the Chimay style beers standing tall at the front, then cruise into the Hoegaardens :)
      Keep up the good work!

I'm very excited about this game, especially the Survival mode, would be awesome to implement it into the ARPG genre!

    32. Mike the Barbarian on May 19, 2012

I love the look of this project. I heard about this project with only 3 hours left in the Kickstarter, thanks to some poster on thread about a....ahem...current ARPG that just got released. Thank you Grim Dawn community for getting the word out there so that folks like me could find out about this amazing game!

    33. Falcon.Pilot on May 19, 2012

Elated that I upped my pledge in the last 6 hours, I "borrowed" and then bought both TQ and the expansion, surprised how many of my friends never tried it out, I'd say it was as good as or better than D3 YEARS ago!! On a tri-beer note, need to send you guys a case of Chicago brewed Goose Island beers!! Saw the Pere Jacques behind you, mad props for that!!

    34. Claude M. on May 19, 2012

If you improve that much on your beer, I don't even want to imagine how much you'll improve the game now that you... no, now that WE have reached all the stretch goals! Congrats again!

    37. Christian Dannie Storgaard on May 19, 2012

Congratulations! But... could you maybe have another Kickstarter afterwards just for Linux support? I feel my money's slightly wasted now otherwise. Not completely wasted of course, I want Grim Dawn to succeed, I would just prefer to play it without Wine worries as well.

    38. Maxim Armour on May 19, 2012

It's developers such as these who refresh the fond memories of true pc gaming, that flavor that consoles will never have and call of duty fans will never understand.
Thank you for all your hard work to come.

Can't wait to play this! Be sure to get some decent Belgian beers, proper Bock beers as well. Will be keeping up with grimdawn.com :D
