"It’s fun, it’s engaging and it gets you talking about beer" - Blair A. Robertson Sacramento Bee
On Friday, the Craft Beer Columnist for the Sacramento Bee, Blair A. Robertson, wrote a killer article about our efforts. A well-respected voice in the Sacramento Beer World, Blair wrote "For breweries, it seems like an ideal game to have on hand, something beyond corn hole and Jenga. Folks playing the game are bound to stay longer and enjoy more beer." We couldn't agree more!
Sonya Sorich, from the Sacramento Business Journal, posted an amazing and in-depth article after a lengthy conversation with us. Not only did she dig the concept, but was inspired to spread the word on Sacramento's NPR station, Capitol Public Radio.
In a conversation with local Radio Host Steve Millnee, Sonya gave our game a resounding endorsement, saying "it marks another sign of the evolution of the craft beer industry." Hell yeah it is!
There's nothing quite like seeing your own ugly mug on the 5:00 news. Well, thanks to Gabrielle at ABC 10, we were! She met us over at New Helvetia and let us give her the run down on CBTBG. Although she wasn't allowed to sip on the stout she was brewing, she seemed to get the gist! In her online story, she writes: "The Sacramento craft beer scene is moving beyond grain to glass. Now, drinkers can go from glass … to game." Well played, Gabrielle, well played.
We are so thankful for our more than 70 backers! We have received pledges from all corners of the globe, from friends, family, and complete strangers. Happily, we can say that none of our backers are strangers any longer.
As members of the Craft Beer Games family, we hope to have opened a circle of communication that will never end. We've reached out to many backers and asked for their feedback, and would appreciate yours. We've linked a quick 5 questions survey here if you're interested in sharing more of your thoughts.
Technology has granted us the ability to stream live our vision for CBTBG. We're kind of addicted at this point. We had a blast over at Fieldwork Brewing Company, and then went live at Mindless Pinstriping Studios. We've got the archive here. You can see just how easy the gameplay is!
We'll be going live a few more times before the end of our Kickstarter, so stay posted on our social media for the details!
Well, we've got a big hill to climb before we ring that victory bell. We're continuing on our path this week in the majestic Sierra Nevada, as we roll by Sidellis Brewery, the Mellow Fellow taphouse and Alibi Ales. We can't wait to connect with you and your local brewery.
As part of the Craft Beer Games family, we want to hear from you! Fill out this 5 question survey and let us know your thoughts!!
Check out the latest on our Facebook and Instagram for the details!
Until then, keep sharing our post with your friends, and spread the word with your family.
