Risks and challenges
Although The Coziest Pillow is a new product, our team has an extensive background in areas of eCommerce including marketing, product fulfillment and logistics. Despite our experience, here are some things that could potentially lead to delays:
Factory closures: These are unlikely except for scheduled closures like Chinese New Year, which this delivery cycle should definitely avoid. We have done our best to account for any known closures within our reward delivery estimates.
Customs brokerage delays: We will ensure these delays are handled promptly. We are also planning to ship from a very reputable fulfillment centre in the US to minimize customs issues and, if we get sufficient backers in Europe, we will consider fulfilling from a local fulfillment hub in that area. We are planning on using domestic delivery whenever possible, reducing potential delays.
We fully admit that delays are possible within the fulfillment process but we also believe that given the strength of our supply chain and our experience that these delays will at least be minimized in their scope. Additionally, we will be able to provide accurate updates throughout the process of getting back on track from any delays that do occur.
