The Veloz Hydration Pack: Fast. Forward.

A complete departure from anything on the market, the Veloz Hydration Pack revolves around an innovative, unisex harness system that’s optimized for comfort, support, and unrestricted movement. So whether you’re running, mountain biking, hiking, or exploring new terrain, this low-profile pack ensures nothing holds you back.

Our Cruz harness is made of thin, laminated straps that are completely integrated with the pack body. This system evenly distributes weight, eliminates the need for a waist belt, and naturally compresses the load.
The straps connect at the center of the chest with a hook-and-webbing closure that locks everything in place. Chafing, pressure points, and added weight are eliminated from the equation.
Just lock in and go.

After researching and testing other hydration packs, we noticed that none of them were designed specifically for movement. They all use technology borrowed from traditional backpacks—padded shoulder straps paired with sternum straps and waist belts. In other words, packs designed for bearing weight. Fast forward to the Veloz—it solves these problems with a system that simultaneously supports the pack’s load and promotes unrestricted movement.

We tested the Veloz with both female and male athletes to ensure our Cruz harness would be as comfortable, user-friendly, and supportive as possible. During the development process, we incorporated their feedback, tweaking each round of prototypes accordingly. The result? Our new harness accommodates both male and female torsos equally, something other brands continue to struggle with today.

Knowing that male and female anatomical differences were one of our biggest challenges in creating a unisex system, we focused on the shape, orientation, and closure of the straps. By changing the path of the straps and removing the sternum strap and waist belt, we’ve effectively eliminated chafing, pinching, and poor fit from the equation, regardless of whether you’re a woman or a man. Additionally, two sizes (S/M and M/L) and adjustable straps mean you’ll be able to get a near-custom fit with the Veloz.

Because the Veloz doesn’t rely on a weight-bearing waist belt, we size according to torso volume. This means you should select a pack size (S/M or M/L) according to your chest measurements.

Wrap a tape measure under your armpits, around the fullest part of your chest. If you measure 31 – 39 inches, select a S/M size. If you measure 39 – 59 inches, select a M/L. If you measure below or above these sizes, the pack will be fit too loose or tight, respectively. We recommend sizing up if you measure exactly 39 inches. This applies to Veloz Packs only.

Adventure helps us see the world and inspires us to make it better. That’s why we started Cotopaxi. We believe we can make a positive impact on people’s lives through the products and experiences we create. We designate 2% of our revenue to help alleviate poverty around the world.

When Cotopaxi first launched, we built an in-house program that would give us the flexibility to research, develop, and produce short runs of experimental product. That was the beginning of Cotopaxi Labs. Today, the Labs project gives us an opportunity to develop products that perfectly fit the Kickstarter model and allows us to reach a broader outdoor audience.
