About this project
World’s Worst Musical is an original musical webseries that follows one writer struggling through his terrible ideas to write an amazing musical. As his ideas come to life he reaches the same conclusion again and again... this is the worst!
Now that we've reached full funding, many of you have been asking whether or not you can still contribute. And the answer is an overwhelming yes! The extra funding will be put to good use getting some special location permits, making the props and costumes even better, and hydrating our actors.
And we're adding some additional rewards!
-All backers will get access to film updates of the process during production
IF WE REACH $4750:
-We'll produce a "Making of World's Worst Musical" video to be released after the series airs
IF WE REACH $5250:
-We'll record a full version bonus track of "Dogs In Space" for the album!
Thanks for all your support! And as always, the worst is yet to come!
Let's start at the very beginning...
A few years ago, the three of us were brainstorming ideas after a long tech rehearsal. What should we do for our next project? Should we write a musical about something ridiculous? A sketch show of original works? A weekly cabaret???
We combined all of those ideas into one epic project: a weekly cabaret of short, original and zany musicals based on terrible premises. It was an exciting idea; however, living in 3 different cities we quickly realized we lacked the logistics, means or time to do it.
Fast forward three years. Now older, wiser and conveniently living in the same zip code, we’ve developed the initial idea into World’s Worst Musical - a 10 episode musical webseries! As a writer watches his bad ideas come to life through song and dance, he discovers how great things can spring from even the worst ideas.

Surprisingly, making something that’s the worst isn’t cheap! By backing our project, you'll be giving us access to the equipment and resources we need to make this project including (but not limited to) cameras, tripods, lights, props, costumes, cars, trains, forest preserves, dentist offices, board games, jungle habitats, historical costumes, singers, dancers, choreographers, dinosaurs, sewing notions, and fake beards. So thank you!
