Cooperheroes is a labor of love taking top comic creators from the Bronze and Modern Ages to produce a 70's style 100 page giant with fun yet relevant stories. Original characters including Harlem super group Power Nation , S.A.G.A. (Super Agents Guarding America) ,Dangeress the Siren of Strength , Mantastic the Mafioso of Macho and MORE. Creators include Mike Baron , Michael Davis , Alan Brooks , Jerry Bingham , Arvell Jones , Trevor Von Eeden , Fred Hembeck , Rich Buckler and others (that will BLOW YOUR MINDS) to be added later!
Why a one hundred page giant of new hero material by classic comic artists? Because the comics that we loved in our youth as new readers and collectors don't exist anymore. The "Big Two" are now corporate subsidiaries. While this has at long last produced the films and TV shows we dreamed of, the print divisions of both have (in our humble opinions) abandoned any pretense of continuity, house style, or real character progression.
We aim to produce NEW material that inspires the same awe and wonder that we experienced as kids, discovering these huge fictional worlds for the first time.
Hire the guys that inspired us in the first place.
There is magic.
There is electricity.
There is excitement in the air.
We have the stories.
We have the creators.
And we have the love.

Risks and challenges
Now that we've made out heartfelt pitch (which we believed every word of), we can talk about the risks. Our budget is sufficient to pay the talent, print the books, pay for bags, boards, and mailers, and to deal with any emergencies that may pop up. The goal is to pay the talent, and get the backers the book. We're trying to make a name for ourselves here! If we have enough left over to buy a Pepsi, we'll be happy, but we expect to roll any profit over into the next project.
The single biggest risk we have is overfunding. We have budgeted for what we *think* the interest level will be. If it goes big, we will have to have more books printed, and that will be a delay. Not like a Die-mad Distribution level delay, but...you know.
The book goes into full production when we fund. First monies go straight to the talent. We are tentatively deadlining this thing for April/May, but creators and printers will ultimately decide.
To repeat: our first commitment is to the comics professionals who have been gracious enough to agree to work for us and to you, the backer.
