We heard the distress calls for more gameplay-related add-ons, and the response task force is here to lend its support. Delta Team is a go!
This optional buy is another treasure trove of amazing content, featuring extra material for practically every aspect of the game!
The Delta Team expansion box for The Others: 7 Sins is an Optional Buy you can get for just $30 during the Kickstarter campaign. It will be available on retail at some point for an estimated MSRP of $35.
Here's the list of contents included in the Delta Team expansion box:
- 5 Heroes, including their Miniatures and Hero Dashboards
- 12 Upgrade Cards, featuring 6 new cards
- 3 Hero Dice
- 5 Old Town Tiles, including a Maps Leaflet
- 6 Corrupted Chef Acolyte Miniatures, featuring 3 different sculpts and their Acolyte Board
- 6 Corrupted Musician Acolyte Miniatures, featuring 3 different sculpts and their Acolyte Board
So let's explore all aspects of this expansion:
The Delta Team consists of 5 heroes, including a Leader, two Bruisers, and two Snipers.
Bob - Leader
Bob Walker is a very resourceful guy. He might not be quite as good in a fight as other Leaders, but he makes up for it with a natural Ranged ability which ensures monsters don't get close enough to scratch him. Once per round he's also able to simply take an Upgrade card from the general inventory and give it to one of his teammates. With Bob as your Leader, you'll soon have a heavily decked-out team!
Julia - Sniper
Julia is a relentless killing machine. She can gun down hordes of monsters and just keep firing away. Whenever she kills 2 or more monsters in a single fight, she gets an Extra Turn token to keep bringing down the hammer. The Sins player would be wise to spread his forces thin when Julia is around.
Kurt - Bruiser
Kurt is a fearsome and fearless fighter. With no regard to his own safety, he'll gladly goad monsters to come at him and die by his knives. Whenever he starts a fight, he can move an adjacent monster to his Space to join in that fight. This can be a great strategic move to free up spaces for the other heroes to move through. Plus, it's more monsters for Kurt's kill list.
Manuela - Sniper
Manuela is the ultimate street urchin, knowing the city's every secret. For a Sniper, she's quite capable of resolving crises, but her true gift comes when taking all that the districts have to offer. Once per round, she can use a district's City Actions without actually using her City Action token. That means that she will not only be able to use a second district's City Actions that same round, but also that first district will still be available for other heroes to use!
Wengsi Wong - Bruiser
Wengsi Wong is a mysterious, lone warrior. Very good in a fight, she's almost impervious to damage, with an amazing Defense. But where she truly excels is in the middle of a brawl most people would flee from. When she's outnumbered in a fight, she not only rolls an extra die, but also gets an extra Hit and Counter-Corruption results.
Delta Team brings another 12 Upgrade cards to add into your inventory deck, giving your heroes new options to face the Others. There are 6 different cards, with 2 copies each, featuring equipment such as Wengsi Wong's amazing Laz Blades which crave for the bigger baddies, IR Goggles that are perfect to make sure your Ranged attacks hit their target, and some disposable Liquid Courage that can heal all your wounds!
More power, more dice! This expansion gives players 3 extra Hero Dice for when things just keep coming up FAITH!
The Delta Team expansion includes 5 brand new tiles set in the Old Town part of Haven, adding even more variety to the map setups you can use in your games. The box will come with a leaflet featuring maps for all 7 core box stories using these new tiles.
The Park - This district offers a rare chance for an almost relaxing environment where heroes may recover. You may heal 2 Wounds here, but just be careful that those Nests aren't hiding a monster among the bushes.
The Library - Visiting your local Library can be more beneficial than you'd imagine. Knowledge will heal your body and your soul, and might give you the upgrade you needed. Careful when you step outside, though, as corruption runs rampant on the streets!
The Castle - One of the most ancient structures of Haven, it is also the most resourceful. Heroes visiting this fortress can benefit from one of every City Action existent in the game! However, getting here will come at a cost, as the Castle is surround by fire and permeated with corruption.
The Train Station - A hub for the agent on the go, the Train Station grants an Extra Turn for heroes to move around, and an Orbital Strike can be called from here. They can also find useful Upgrades in the station lockers.
The War Memorial - This place doesn't offer much to heroes, other than memories of battles long gone (and a nest for the battles raging right now!). Its only resource is the ability to call in an Orbital Strike.
The Delta Team also brings the Sins player 2 new types of Acolytes to use in the game: Corrupted Chefs and Corrupted Musicians!
Each of these Acolytes come with 6 miniatures, featuring 3 different sculpts, as well as their respective Acolyte Boards.
These chefs are able to make heroes sick to their stomach. When their ability is used, the Hero's Skill stats drops down to zero for the rest of the round, making them unable to resolve crisis to remove tokens from the board.
Their seductive music makes it nigh-impossible for heroes to access the corruptive forces that might help them in a fight. When their ability is used, the hero simply cannot take voluntary corruption in order to gain the corruption bonuses, unless they also take 2 wounds!
