4,278 backers pledged $951,254 to help bring this project to life.

Surveys are out! Errata on THI pricing and more.

This is a general announcement.

There was a mistake in the survey with the THI suits erroneously listed at $10 rather than $15 (which is the correct pricing).

The survey will be used to populate our database, and you will receive an email confirmation with a link to the CoolMiniOrNot Kickstarter Pledge Manager (CKPM) later this month to confirm everything you've selected, as well as pay for any additional extras.

Please don't worry if you make a mistake on your survey, in the end it only matters if you are uncontactable by email.  You will have ample opportunity to tweak to your heart's content later.

In summary, please don't send a message if it's about:

  • THI pricing (it's $15).
  • Survey errors or shipping info corrections - you can fix it later
  • Adding / paying for additional items / upgrading to Biohazard / Getting additional sets - you can add them later

Thank you for your attention.

Came here to check if there were any updates, guess not. All we can do is wait for it.

@david, when the pledge manager goes online, you will select what you want and if it costs more than you pledged they'll charge you via paypal, I think straight away.

    2. Rich Courtney on July 31, 2012

Yeah, I haven't gotten a link for the CMKPM or whatever. I got a survey asking what I wanted...but nothing to pay...and it's the 31st.

@Drake They will post an update here in the kickstarter when its launched. They did that with Zombicide so they'll do it again here I'm sure.

Will there be any issues shipping to APO addresses?

    6. Drake_Marcus on July 29, 2012

Anyone know when we'll get the final survey from cool mini or not?

    7. Matt "X-Com" C on July 25, 2012

@Simon - The CKPM is your friend. The CKPM fixes all! Unlike most Kickstarter projects, the survey isn't the last chance you've got to edit your pledge.

    8. Simon Crouch on July 24, 2012

Oh man, I messed that survey email up big time, lol.

But we can make corrections, later, right>? I just need to end up with biohazard set plus the crew(calamity I think) and the improved terrain, :)

    9. SHAKALL on July 17, 2012

Oups, I did not receive this update warning so I just mailed to know if my order had been taken into account :(

Jacky the Aphid Frame is the Exo-suit Barker Zosa... We get one for free as a result of the achieved stretch goal.

      What is Aphid Frame????

    14. Matt "X-Com" C on July 10, 2012

@Jacky - Actually, let me clarify. Amount for most fields, but put a price in the shipping field if you need to pay for international shipping. But still, that'll be taken care of in the CKPM.

    15. Matt "X-Com" C on July 10, 2012

@Jacky - Amount for the survey. Prices will be automatically handled once the CKPM is opened :)

      on July 10, 2012

Do I put price or amount onto the survey... I assume its amount, but just checking....

    17. Matthew Soares
      on July 10, 2012

X-Com, what I'm getting at is the pictures can go a long way because we're dealing with so much stuff and a whle lot of money... We can't truly go by the images on the kickstarter home page because they are not completely up to date.

To prove my point, I bet many backers when reading the survey were going, "What the hell is the Aphid Frame? Is this an optional figure I missed? Do I get it for free? I don't want to buy an extra one if I get it for free, but I don't not want to buy one just in case its not free. Ok, let me sift through 13 pages of updates to find it." Yet, if a picture accompanied the title or if it were simply labeled as Exo-suit Barker, end of confusion...

Here's another case... In one update, the six little strain critters are referred to as head crawlers, yet they are also termed Bonecrabs. I had to do a double-take just to make sure they were one in the same.

I'm just saying when you have so many freebies, optional items, freebies that come only with optional items, and just plain extras... with variant names, it can makes your head spin a little. Chances are they can't add images into the CKPM, but if they can, why not?

Like I said before and I'll leave it at this so as not to beat a dead horse, the fact that some people agree with me on this, let's me know I'm not completely crazy or dramatic.

    18. David How on July 10, 2012

Oh also I love CMON. I'm thinking of grabbing some other things for my Hero Quest set :)

    19. David How on July 10, 2012

I put in money for the THI suit and was thinking, huh, price drop? Oh well I guess they can have that other $5. :P
Happy to see you guys corrected it though.
It would be great if there was a nice detailed list made of the FULL contents of the Biohazard edition and also the Quarantine Zone edition. I'm on Biohazard already, but I was still a little confused. :)

    20. Matt "X-Com" C on July 10, 2012

@Henrik - Really, I appreciate the push for usability, I just don't think that CMON is going to redesign the CKPM in order to do it. In the meantime, it's not as though people have to wait until the CKPM comes out in order to figure out what they want to buy. We've got at least a couple of weeks - if anyone who is heavily invested in the kickstarter hasn't taken the time to sort themselves out by then, I'm not sure that even your suggestion will help them.

Henrik Holm on July 10, 2012

Im with Matthew on this one. Im all for usability and putting a little image next to the option that shows what goes with that option is better than not.
Having both pages open at the same time will still make some people make the wrong choices. If CMON place their own pictures at the right options less people will get it wrong.
      It'd be a nice help.

    22. Ropya on July 10, 2012

Its jot like it would be to hard to have 2 screens up at the same time.
      One with CKPM.
The other with the home page pics.
      Easy to compare then.....

    23. DaveC on July 10, 2012

I think Matthew wants pictures beside each of the options on the CKPM so that he knows exactly what he's buying and isn't just relying on a text description. The CKPM isn't designed this way (it's just text based) and I doubt CMON will change it at this stage. Here's a video of how the CKPM works (The Zombicide version)…

    24. Matt "X-Com" C on July 10, 2012

@Matthew Then I guess I don't understand what you're getting at. You asked for a graphical guide to what is free, what you have to buy, and what comes with what. On the main page, there are two images that do exactly that. Names, prices, and pictures of what you get. You don't need to go through all of the updates in order to figure it out.

    25. Matthew Soares
      on July 10, 2012

I understand the concept completely as I've pledged $240 for Biohazard. I'm just saying with all the content, different names, different strains, what's free, what's not free, what you get for free with the one's you purchased (strain versions), it can all make your head spin a little, which a few people clearly agree. Plus, when you're tossing that kind of dough (or more) around, you want to make sure you're purchasing exactly what you want. Just sayin'...

    26. Matt "X-Com" C on July 10, 2012

@Matthew, Adam, Alli - If you look at the main project page, the "Recommended Load out" graphic shows what you get with each Biohazard set you purchased. (The only thing missing is the Barker exosuit aka Aphid suit).

The Gnosis suit and the Aphid suit are also available as purchasable extras, for $20 each. (But again, you get one of each free with every Biohazard). Same story with the bonecrabs and baby drones - you get 6 of each with the Biohazard, but you can buy 6 more for $10 a set.

Everything listed on the "Optional Load Out" graphic is exactly that - optional. If you want it, you have to pay for it. That includes extra tiles, dice, and promotional minis (Ridley, Calamity Crew, etc).

You should have an image for each item when sending out the CKPM... I sort of get lost in all the chaos of updates, rewards, what's free, what's not free, etc.

Waiting for the new survey with my new email confirmation with a link to the CoolMiniOrNot Kickstarter Pledge Manager (CKPM) later this month than ^_^

For some reason I was unaware of the THI suit at the time I pledged. Is it (or will it be) possible to pay and additional $15 for the THI suit?
