Amazon payment issues - Don't panic!

From experience, sometimes a perfectly good card will fail, usually because your bank or credit card issuer flags the transaction for review. Kickstarter will keep trying your payment method for 7 days, so all you need to do is call your card issuer and let them know the pledge is legit before next Saturday.

I'm going to go pass out now...

It'll be listed as KICKSTARTER*COOLMINI or something like that.

    2. Creator DrewSouth on July 2, 2012

      @Ben Duguid
      Thanks for that news :-)

What should I be telling the bank to look out for: amazon billing, or coolmini billing or what?

    4. Creator Richard Wagoner on July 2, 2012

I have received multiple payment statements from KS reflecting different amounts (I increased my contribution as the new figs came out ) - But upon checking Amazon I was only billed for the final amount!

    5. Creator Lee Langston on July 2, 2012

Turns out it is a non-issue as I called my card and they said it has charged and should clear today or tomorrow.

    6. Creator Lee Langston on July 2, 2012

Mine has not listed as going through, but then it also is not listed [as it should be] as a denied charge. I am contacting my bank, but not sure if they will get back to me soon. What happens if it is still denied after the 7 days of trying? I don't want to miss out on my dinner with Mike and Rob!!!!!!

    7. Creator Ben Duguid on July 2, 2012

@DrewSouth - CoolMiniOrNot will send you details of the "CoolMiniOrNot Kickstarter Pledge Manager" (CKPM) in the next week or so, where you can confirm exactly what you ordered, and usually up a few of the options as well. That's how it worked for Zombicide.

    8. Creator John Drinkwater on July 1, 2012

Last purchase via Kickstarter for Zombicide was verified by my credit card provider via a phone call to me ... Sedition seemed to get through with no problem, maybe because of the previous verification.

    9. Creator DrewSouth on July 1, 2012

      Hmmm.
How do I add to my order - there are a couple of other optional items I wouldn't mind adding to my order :-)

      :-)

    10. Creator Buggrit on July 1, 2012

Yes Colin, it's an automated message that went out to everybody because a few people will have had issues with their payments being processed due to fraud detection stuff that card issuers do (especially if they've pledged a fairly large amount!!)

    11. Creator Colin Wilson on July 1, 2012

is this an automated message ? my financial institution informs me the payment has been made ?
      so what gives ?

    12. Creator Brian Oz on July 1, 2012

Mark - if I give you my address, will you send me $20? It's just a measly amount after all. :-)

    13. Creator Mark Elster on July 1, 2012

I do hope the 59 quarantine zone pledgers are dutifully kicking themselves for not upping a measley $20 for at least 50 more miniatures and extra stuff. Very strange.

    14. Creator ztroberts on July 1, 2012

Just a thought... I live in the DC Metro area and we lost power for a day, and many people still don't have power. There's a big Amazon data server up here, and it lost power too. Maybe that's a reason for some of the Amazon problems?

    15. Creator Colour in a Wave (deleted) on July 1, 2012

Thx for the hint Dave. I already did that. waiting for reply now. I also scanned throu the whole KS page. did not find any precise phrasing / word concerning this issue. Thx for your help guys.

    16. Creator DaveC on July 1, 2012

@ Daniel use the send message link above to contact CMON they may not read the comments regularly now the KS is finished

    17. Creator Colour in a Wave (deleted) on July 1, 2012

Oh man that realy sux. Still any chance CMON? If i ask nicely?

    18. Creator Greg on July 1, 2012

I wrote asking the same thing re: Airlock plus promos, and their response was:

The promotional figs are limited to 3 of each type per boxed game, so the minimum you'd need to pledge would be $80 in addition to whatever else you'd like.

    19. Creator Colour in a Wave (deleted) on July 1, 2012

Oh. Bad news. CMON pls confirm this. If that truly is so I have to nullify my pledge. That hurts.

    20. Creator DaveC on July 1, 2012

@Daniel you'll need to check with CMON but it was stated several times that the promo minis would only be available to backers at Quarantine level or above not Airlock or Docking Bay. You must buy a boxed game to be eligible for the promos.

    21. Creator Colour in a Wave (deleted) on July 1, 2012

Question @CMON, Mike: I have pledged 55 $ for Airlock + Promo Hexen + Promo Ramirez + Gnosis Kara. I live in Austria. Airlock says "free shipping". The question is now if it is still free shipping including the extras figures with airlock? Cause 25 $ for shipping is quite unreasonable high for such a small package. Thx for your help.

Im going to be broke this month. poor me. *_*

    23. Creator Michael soar on July 1, 2012

I am having problems paying with my card :(

    24. Creator Vhalantru on June 30, 2012

Jeff if it said it worked, don't worry. This is for people like me who can't seem to get my amazon giftcard to work. :(

    25. Creator Jeff Brewer on June 30, 2012

Am I right in assuming this update is for those people who got a message from Amazon indicating their pledge DIDN'T go through?

I was a tad worried when I got this email update, right after I received an email from Amazon stating:

      "Greetings from Amazon Payments,

We wanted to let you know that we successfully completed a payment to CoolMiniOrNot Inc for $XXXXXX on Jun 30, 2012. This payment is related to the payment authorization listed below:..."

Perhaps the update needs to be amended to say something like "If your Amazon payment did not go through, don't panic. From experience..." to put the rest of us at ease.

    26. Creator Eric Nielsen on June 30, 2012

@Andi, no they survey's haven't gone out -- people are only referring to the emails stating that payment went through. Dace and I were discussing how the Zombicide survey worked and both referred back to our surveys from that project, not this one,

    27. Creator Simon Crouch on June 30, 2012

Mine went through, I like the idea of adding stuff and getting a paypal invoice..there were a few things I just couldn't afford, but did not want to miss out>

I settled on biohazard(which is insane at this point, right?), the crew of the calamity, and the upgraded terrain.

      NOvember...wow, I can not wait.

    28. Creator Daniel A Sniadoski on June 30, 2012

Mine went through as well! :-)

    29. Creator Andi Jalensky on June 30, 2012

There were surveys sent out already? I didn't get one if they did :(

    30. Creator Keegan Fink on June 30, 2012

      "Greetings from Amazon Payments,
We wanted to let you know that we successfully completed a payment to CoolMiniOrNot Inc for $370.00"

      Worked for me!

    31. Creator Anna Kim on June 30, 2012

..... My bank and Amazon said it went through. What's the deal?

    32. Creator Eric Nielsen on June 30, 2012

@Dave, no problem. I checked back to my survey before I responded to make sure too. I also didn't need/want to add anything (had already added enough)

    33. Creator DaveC on June 30, 2012

Sorry Eric checked back and your correct - I didn't add anything extra to Zombicide so I assumed it couldn't be done during survey

    34. Creator Rand Chua TL on June 30, 2012

Yay it is over now only waiting for the great game to come.

    35. Creator Eric Nielsen on June 30, 2012

      @Dave, on the survey for Zombicide it was possible to add items over and above what you had pledged for and then indicate how much extra you should be billed;

    36. Creator DaveC on June 30, 2012

@Eric you can't add additional funds with survey only allocate the money you've already spent. You have to wait for the CKPM if you want to spend more.

    37. Creator Frederik Vezina on June 30, 2012

Congratulations! Three days ago Ogre looked completely impossible, and yet here we are! Can't wait for the game, now.

    38. Creator Eric Nielsen on June 30, 2012

Expected timelime (CMoN, please step in if I'm wrong):
      1) sometime 7-14 days from now: Kickstarter survey goes out: you indicate what you over pledged for, and add any additional items you want/forget to pledge for initially
      2) 1-2 weeks after the survey goes out: the CKPM opens up and you can review your survey results, one last chance to add additional items to your pledge -- once you confirm there its done -- you'll be invoiced via paypal to pay for anything amount over your pledge that you owe
      3) 30 days after the CKPM opens -- CKPM closes, no alterations to your pledge allocation -- I believe you can still log in to change shipping address up until they lock that separately.

    39. Creator Michael Weier on June 30, 2012

Thanks mate :) How can I do that?

    40. Creator Charles Davies on June 30, 2012

@Micheal, you can add it in later. There will be a chance for that, no worries.

    41. Creator Michael Weier on June 30, 2012

I paid $100 and chose the biohazard set. I forgot to add $25 for international shipping. What should I do?

    42. Creator Vhalantru on June 30, 2012

Thanks, I am having a problem with an amazon giftcard not working. I will keep trying

    43. Creator Ryan Whitfield on June 30, 2012

Ya. Cleared. Now the waiting game!!

    44. Creator Shelfwear on June 30, 2012

I'm from Germany and I had no problems with Amazon payments, it went through without problems once the KS project finished

    45. Creator Michael Miguel-Sanchez on June 30, 2012

Just a note on this. Amazon/Kickstarter will NOT automatically keep attempting to debit your card. You will receive an email, and a notice at the top of every Kickstarter page, and you need to manually re-authorize the payment by clicking the link.

    46. Creator Fes on June 30, 2012

Mine had no problem at all.

    47. Creator CoolMiniOrNot on June 30, 2012

Surveys go out 1 to 2 weeks after the KS ends to allow all payment processing to complete, but you don't need to get everything right in them. The data is used to populate our database and you will get a chance to confirm everything.

    48. Creator Paul Scott on June 30, 2012

Sorry, I am an utter techno buff Luddite,
Email kick start saying payment refused, but my bank have confirmed and
paid, there shouldnt be an issue...

      Just want my awesome toys?

    49. Creator DisOrd3r on June 30, 2012

      Mine worked took $1135 ;)

    50. Creator Benjamin Walter on June 30, 2012

@CoolMiniOrNot: when will you send the survey?
