I'm all for exploding 6's showing the faction icon

Quarantine campaign is in the bag in 1 day! Let's get those dice!

    7. Cervantes3773 on June 6, 2012

I agree, I prefer symbols on the 6.

If this is still up in the air, I'd like to see the symbol replace the 6. It should be a good thing when you roll up your faction symbol!

    9. HaWior on June 6, 2012

      I want this DICE!
A pledge for the dice were cool. So we can get more of them.

My guess? Since attacks equal 3D6, I assume they only plan to initially throw in 3 dice for each faction — which additional dice available for purchase as an "add on" for later in the Kickstarter campaign (similar to Zombicide). Would more than 3 per faction be helpful? Yes, but not a necessity, as you could always reroll the sixes and just "remember" to add them to the tally. It may come down to being a marketing strategy, but I don't mind personally!

PS, kickstarter is evil. Its too easy to find something else sweet to go after.

    12. Ropya on June 5, 2012

Hey Shoo, im late to the party. Been away for a bit. But hell yeah, im a sucker for sweet minis.
Zombicide was such a score, figure this is a cinch.
Seems like good taste abound no?

@Miniature Review: that was also my thought...perhaps at 180k Dollar?

Based on the rules that we saw in the videos, shouldn't there be about 5-6 dice per side instead of the stated 3 per side. The reason being is you will want some extra dice for rolling should you roll "6"s.

Looking great, as always, keep going guys!

Regarding the downloadable campaign for using all 70+ figures: HELL YEAH! Given all of the information that Rob Baxter has laid out over on Boardgamegeek, this game is looking to be one of the best of it's kind this year. I'm thrilled at the prospect of running a campaign with my wife. We might have to flip a coin over who gets to play The Strain however!

    17. Shoogoo on June 5, 2012

Hey Ropya, not surprised to see you backing this project :D

    18. Michael OD on June 5, 2012

Wouldn't mind getting those dice and the extra campaign, really nice.

    19. Robert Baxter on June 5, 2012

Dammit I wanted dice I could cut meat with!

    20. CoolMiniOrNot 26-time creator on June 5, 2012

Those are just computer renders, the final version of the dice will have rounded corners just like any normal D6

    21. Stuart Matheson on June 5, 2012

I have the same question as Ropya.

    22. Industrial Scribe on June 5, 2012

Up to We've Got Movement!.... Really want that Large campaign extra's :)

    23. Ropya on June 5, 2012

Will the dice have sharp edges as pictured or will they be rounded off a bit to assist in rolling?

    24. Patrick Todoroff on June 5, 2012

This really is remarkable; the game, the incredible support, the goal-extras. It's a pleasure to watch and be a part of. Thanks.

    25. Germanicus on June 5, 2012

      @Mike
      Great new goals

    26. SvenT on June 5, 2012

@Lawrence, I believe it is fully justified in a game in which 6's "explode"

That's perfekt, when I read about the additional Miniaturen, I was just wondering, how am I supposed to use them. More stuff doesn't make a game automatically better, but this campaign makes sure it does.

If you're taking a poll, I don't like dice that replace the "6" with a graphic. It makes me do do a translation in my brain. "Oh, wait---that's a 6!"

      Maybe it's just me.

    29. Carlos Kamu Zermeño on June 5, 2012

A campaign that uses 70+ miniatures? That's awesome, but my head will hurt a lot. And those dice look very nice (I'm wondering... will they also give us glow in the dark ones eventually?).

    30. Dai on June 5, 2012

More content and custom dice? Sorted! (Yes, it's true, I cannot leave the 90's behind, even in my slang usage.)

    31. Zetura on June 5, 2012

Need the dice ! They rocks :)
