FYI, why do Gregorio Castell and 'Bossman' Kastel (from Season 1) have almost identical last names?

    2. "The Mad Rabbi", King of the Undead on April 29, 2016

It's optional, Brian. You don't need the Hero Pack if you buy Iron Inquisition. It merely offers you alternative crew. I recommend going after the exclusive packs first, then add the others during the PM. Add them only if you wish to have a little variety among your crews.

If I buy this add-on, do I still need the hero pack, or is this the whole package? I'm a little confused as to what the difference is. Please answer ASAP as time is drawing short.. (100 minutes remain.)

SOO I just realized that Milady de Winter, is probably based off of Twinkle Maria Murdock from Cowboy Bebop! any one catch that?

    5. Ben on April 19, 2016

I think Maria Estrada should have at least one attack with a range of 2, since she's holding a gun.

    6. Charles-Antoine on April 18, 2016

@Kyle I guess we will have a statement on this when the new upgrade for La Brise Sanguine will be made available (La Brise vs Marea de la muerte = 2vs2 ships)

    7. The Collector on April 16, 2016

Isn't the Deckhands and the Bosun sheet/cards missing??

    8. Twigbeard on April 16, 2016

I fully support the crusades of pyrophillic warrior nuns!! I'll be the first to pick up a Sacred Sisterhood hero crew, should that be in the Iron Crusade's future.

I am curious as to why the crew left port before their blacksmith could finish making Iron boots for everyone. Gregorio is slacking!

Not too familiar with what Privateer Press ripped off for Menoth, are you? :)

    10. Thomas Grable on April 16, 2016

I concur with @Jonathan that Gregorio Castell has skills more suited to a Brute than to a Gunner. His basic attack is melee, not ranged, and his special attack brings an enemy into close range. This works fine for a Brute with 12 wounds, but not for a Gunner with only 6.

    11. William Smith on April 16, 2016

I think it's pretty cool that Cool Mini Or Not was not at all inspired by (cough, Warmachine Menoth, cough) when designing Seraphina :-)

    12. Thomas Grable on April 15, 2016

@Michael Shinall - I shall amend my statement to, "I love religious zealots... as long as they are in games, or works of film, television, or literature."

Sorry, forgot to answer you last question: If 2 single ship factions go up against each other the 2 ships simply have 3 gangplanks between them rather than the 2/1 split on a team with 3 boats. That being said, I'm not really sure how you're supposed to set up with a couple 2 ship crews facing each other, which I think will be possible when this game is released. If you look at the original R&B core box, each of those factions was a single ship and the setup will most likely be the same here if you were to take the Iron Inquisitors up against say the Deep Lords or the Bone Devils.

      @Justin Swaine
You can play this against any faction, or actually take characters from across multiple factions and put them together on the same team. Like the MOBAs this game is based on, the team combinations are really open ended, but of course the various crews have more synergy together than any random assortment of characters.

Why does the gunner have brute abilities?

    16. Mr Suitcase on April 15, 2016

I don't know the original R&B, so forgive my ignorance in advance. Can you play this against either if the two 2nd tide factions? Or is it always against deep ones? If so, how does the single boat replace the muerte crew's two boats?

    17. "The Mad Rabbi", King of the Undead on April 15, 2016

I did some research and the only ones NOT based on historical figures are Gregario and Saint Vindictus. The others are based on actual historical figures.
So, now, there are two Spanish factions and the next character to unlock is another fairy tale character.....interesting.

Oops... Ok, so he may also not be historical...

Hang on, let me get the Wayback Machine and fix him and Francisco Pizarro- make them both historical... Check again in... Well, I suppose WHEN doesn't really matter if I'm successful, as this will seem like non-sense anyway...Hopefully I'll have time to get to both...Starting with Pizarro.

Err...Everyone on the crew with the exception of Gregorio is a historic Conquistador.

I actually have to say I was shocked with the character sculpt of Felicia not fitting the traditional female mold of CMON minis. Thought it was pretty cool, a neat change.

Also, I am loving the design for Saint Seraphina. I am almost willing to up my pledge for that mini alone.

@Steve Seriously you are going to play the race card in a freaking game??? wth you don't see me getting on my high horse because all women are F size cup and skinny. its a game not reality and fyi women have had it worse thoughout history much much worst than any freaking color or religion. Paint your models in whatever colour you want. But on another not note i am total in love with those inquisitons and i am getting them!

Diversity means more not less. That is more for everyone. I like having my game group being diverse and it brings more to the game if it reflects our group.

Now after this thread I guess the next expansion will be trolls...

Looks like a mistype on our end- yes, it's 3 cards per Hero, for 15 cards + 2 Crew Cards.

    33. Eric on April 15, 2016

@Max totally agree. It incentivizes you to buy all the addons to get the exclusives. I understand why they do it but I don't like the business practice. All kickstarter exclusives should be free with addons being paid for with the bonus of getting it earlier than everyone else.

But i like to know how many add-ons are planed, when i enter the KS :)
The first edition was $90, but all-in over $350, revealed bit after bit, and a lot of those later add-ons are KS-exclusives, or got exclusive extras.
Asking for more and more money, sugarcoated with KS-exclusives is not nice :)

So, the SJW offendotrons just rode in - predictably outraged ofcourse.

Steve, caricature steampunk inquisitors in a boardgame is no worse than caricature nazis in a countless number of RPGs, games, movies etc. You are entitled to feeling oppressed - that is your right. And is is our - and CMoN's - right to not give a damn.

Junior6288, what is it with you people and your obsession with skin colour? At least half of the miniatures we have seen so far consists of fish-people, so can hardly be described as white. Besides, the term "people of color" is seriously creepy - lumping each and every non-white person together in one big faceless, eternally oppressed mob.

    36. Max Maloney on April 15, 2016

You don't have to buy any add-ons. However, a large portion of CMON's customer base really enjoys expansions and add-ons. Shouldn't CMON provide these items to those who want them? It should be easy not to buy them if you'd rather not...

    37. Eric on April 15, 2016

Yeah I do find it ridiculous. I don't even know if I will like the game but they want me to buy all the expansions as well? It's a big ask especially when the price is so high.

This here is the only thing i do not like much about CMON :)
I hate it when they hide the total costs of the new game, by spreading the release of the already designed add-ons over the entire campaign.
Please post all extras when you start the KS, not during it. We would like to know how much we can spend on the game, and not take wild guesses if the original base game will be trippled with addons.

    39. Steve Berman on April 15, 2016

I expect a U-Boat theme with yellow stars saying Jude next.

    40. Junior6288 on April 15, 2016

My issue is the continual use of white characters....everywhere. But that's an issue with almost every CMON game. I want more models of color...and I don't mean the color of the plastic. ;)

    41. Tim Gannon on April 15, 2016

@CMON Just noticed a discrepancy with Saint Seraphina. Her hero dashboard shows Furious Smite with the ability symbol, but it is listed as an attack in the description below. Wondering whether it will be an ability or a second attack.

Awesome stuff! Was rooting, as so many others, for Vikings, but Templars with a dash of steampunk will do just fine!
Not really sure about the 'sisters of battle' KS exclusive captain, but heck with it, it suits the theme well I guess.
