We will make minor edits to this back for color and symmetry so that it is a two-way-back at launch that matches the tuck case.
The above is the direction we're close to finalizing, however we've received input to try the outer pips in gold. Mock up below. Voting will determine small improvements to the gold lining of the outer pips & indices.

Risks and challenges
Printing: We do not anticipate any issues, and as a professional marketing and design firm we're used to working within deadlines. USPCC is saying up to 6 weeks after approval, so anticipating any delays, we're setting a deadline of 10 weeks after funding to get the cards out the door.
Shipping: We do not anticipate any issues since we'll be using the USPO unless the government shuts down again, in which case there might be slight delays, based on the last time this happened.
Artwork & Design: As soon as we hit our minimum goal, we will finish all of the numbered cards and Aces. We will also ask anyone who earns the reward of having their likeness as a face card to submit pictures and consent to us with urgency. To anticipate any delays out of our control, we have a very strict 2-week window after the project closes for pledging, for anyone who wants their likeness to appear on a card to get us their pictures. Anyone who does not get us their pictures within that time-frame will forfeit their pledge and their chance to be featured on a card, and we will substitute another image in place of their likeness, to prevent delays.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
When we first started this project, we based our numbers on what the USPS charges for international shipping in a worst-case scenario. In our research we've seen a lot of decks that didn't get shipped because the creators didn't estimate their costs properly and couldn't cover their shipping, resulting in backers not receiving their decks. We didn't want to get into that situation. After launch we got a lot of feedback from international backers about the high rates, so we did a TON of research and outreach. Some of the advice we got helped us figure out packaging for larger orders that helped us to cut those costs, and we reduced some of the rates. Eventually and luckily, we were pointed in the direction of a 3rd party shipping company that actually does contract work for the USPS. We reached out to them and were able to lower our international shipping costs substantially. As soon as we confirmed the numbers, we lowered international rates in our rewards. The problem arose however, that Kickstarter does not allow you to delete a reward level if there is at least one person backing it. As a result, our rewards got very messy (sorry!). The best solution we could find was to mark any rewards with high international shipping rates as "sold out" and to put up new rewards with the lower rates. US backers stayed with the original reward levels because there was no reason to change - the shipping is free. At that time, we also reached out to all of the international backers who came in at the higher shipping rates and encouraged them to change their reward to the better deal. To our knowledge we were able to reach everyone but if something comes up after launch, we're happy to work it out. On occasion, someone cancels a pledge in one of the sold-out reward levels. The result is that it is no longer sold out, and shows as available, creating confusion. We try to monitor the campaign and close those levels out when we notice it, but sometimes they persist for a bit before we get to them.
Just review the add-on charts on the project page and decide what you want. Count up the total, add on the related international shipping fees if applicable and anything else important. For example, 2XL+ shirts are a bit more than the regular shirts. Figure out your total by calculating your add-ons and adding that amount to your original pledge. Then, on the main project page, click the blue "Manage Your Pledge" button. You'll keep your reward level exactly the same, but change it to the new total dollar amount that includes your add-ons. Don't worry about telling us what you picked yet. After the campaign is over, we'll reach out and get specifics from you on what you want. We'll be using BackerKit after the campaign is over and you'll have the option to use it to manage your own pledges and add-ons so that we can stay very organized with getting you your goodies.
