concorDance contemporary's Premiere Dance Series features a rich, sensual, textural, whirlwind of original dance pieces. Seven professional dancers perform the creations of four choreographers this August in the Albemarle-Charlottesville Virginia area. The artists and production team will have nearly 300 hours invested in their labor of love.

The Choreographers: Ryan Beck’s Conversations on Olympus is an ensemble piece accompanied by the music of Sigur Ros and overlaid with dialogue. Mr. Beck is Co-Director of Garage Contemporary Ballet in San Diego. Veronica Hart’s Dream Suite is inspired by a selection of poems by Langston Hughes. Elisa Alexander and Ty Cooper will be presenting exciting new dance pieces.

The Dancers: Elisa Alexander, Audrey Fenske, Dinah Gray, Veronica Hart, Caitlin Lennon, Moira Price, and Devin Sweet

concorDance contemporary (cDc) is a new seasonal contemporary ballet company and a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The company’s mission is to create a closer relationship between the audience and the artists. By embracing each company member’s uniqueness and accentuating their individuality, our creations will be unlike anything else. “I think that anyone who likes ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ will love concorDance contemporary,” said Veronica Hart, company founder and director.

Our goal is to raise a minimum of $1500 to help pay the choreographers, dancers, and many production costs. By contributing to our campaign, you will be personally invested in our project and perpetuating the arts.

Any funds that exceed our goal of $1,500 will help us Kickstart our second season.

Thank you for believing in us and for your support.
