#IFightGhosts, chronicles the exploits of Darren Palmer, a twenty-something con man who was killed in a freak accident, and given a second chance at redemption by serving as a "Spectromancer". His task was to hunt down rogue spirits who've escaped the Afterlife's judgement. However, Darren is all about personal gain, and instead begins to find ways to exploit his new powers for profit.
The comic began as a series of jokes and tweets between Martin Dunn and Shawn Langley in 2013. The two comic creators began to draw what is now known as the first season on a whim and posting them on twitter. The first 14 pages were a hodgepodge of art thrown together via sketches, and layouts were assembled using the procreate and comic life apps on an iPad. Neither of them expected the comic to grow in popularity, but a small fan base emerged from those initial pages.
This continued on for awhile, and eventually became this...
In 2015, several of these fans began to email and tweet to Martin, demanding more. This inspired Martin and his long time friend and fellow comic creator, Dustin Holifer to revive the comic. Martin met Moises Fermin, an aspiring artist who had attended the "Breaking into indie comics" panel that Martin was hosting, at Megacon. After some correspondence, Martin asked Moises to join the team as the full time artist.(Shawn, we hear was abducted by alien snow creatures.) Jeremy Calderon, who had previously worked with Martin on "Joshua Black" came on as colorist (after we pried him off his latest run through of Borderlands), and we all got to work.
We started publishing the aptly titled "Season 2" for FREE on the web, at www.IFightGhosts.com, on October 7th, 2015. It was decided that season 2 would consist of 24 pages of fully colored, full page art, as well as a 12 page Christmas special that would run throughout the month of December, breaking up Season 2 into 2 parts. It was upon the completion of the "Christmas Carol" special, that we realized we had enough content and more for a printed book.

Risks and challenges
So, the most exciting part about THIS particular kickstarter is that all of the art is done! The pages are complete, the books are built! All we need to do is print and ship! So, the biggest risk is unforeseen circumstances out of our control. It is always a possibility that printing delays can happen, products can get lost in the shipping process, or human error may cause something to not be sent. We've collectively as a team worked on this Kickstarter page together for over 5 months. So, we are pretty confident this baby will be smooth sailing... As long as we can keep any gremlins out of the machine.
