First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to visit our KickStarter campaign. Over the past decade, Ray Majoran and Brian Klassen have captured numerous stories and images in the real-world (non-tourist) areas of places like India, Peru, Cambodia, Bahamas and Nepal. Each time they return from one of these trips, they find themselves in a restless state, wanting to do more for the people that God has brought into their lives. Consider Aruna, a 14-year old Indian girl who was about to be sold into marriage to a man in his 30s. Or Lakshmi, a widow who was abandoned by her family because she has HIV/AIDS.
In 2015, they came to realize that they could be doing more with the photographs and stories that God has entrusted them with (Matthew 25:14-30). Following a series of discussions, they decided to incorporate Compassion Gallery, not fully knowing what God would have them do, but feeling like they had to take the first step. Fast-forward ten months later—after numerous discussions, research and planning—they sense a peace that it is time to move forward with this project.
Our Business Model
We believe in giving back. Compassion Gallery brings to life images of His creation in hopes that we can both inspire the viewer, and provide financial support to some incredible organizations that are changing the world.
Once the Kickstarter campaign is complete, we will activate our business model which is as follows:
For every fine art print that Compassion Gallery sells, 50% of each sale will be donated to one of our amazing Partner Organizations. The buyer gets to make the decision as to what Partner Organization they would like us to donate the funds to.

Fine Art Prints
Photos in our gallery are available in both Limited Edition Collector prints, and Standard prints.
ABOUT LIMITED EDITION COLLECTOR PRINTS
Each Collector print is personally signed and numbered, and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) from Compassion Gallery. The sizing and number of Limited Edition prints for a given photo depends on the specific photo. (Some photos are limited to 100 total prints, while others are closer to 500.) The cost for each print varies based on sizing and numbering.
ABOUT STANDARD PRINTS
We are pleased to offer Standard (non-Collector) prints for most of our images. Standard Prints are unnumbered, sized to a maximum dimension of 18"x12", and include a Compassion Gallery watermark in the bottom corner of the image. Please note that Standard Prints are not personally signed and do not come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Our First Book: unOblivious
As part of the Compassion Gallery initiative, we've designed a 150-page photo-driven book featuring captivating stories from India and Nepal. Written by founding partner, Ray Majoran the book highlights stories and photos from Ray's last trip to India and Nepal, and serves as the first volume of books and stories to come.
The book was inspired by the question: Do we see the amazing beauty in the things that God has created, the people He’s brought into our lives, the situations He’s put us in? Or do we live in a bubble, oblivious to His amazing wonder happening all around us?
A CRASH COURSE IN COMPASSION
"Reading unOblivious is a crash course in compassion. The pictures, captions, and stories all work together to remind us of the 'pure and undefiled' religion that the church is called to embody. James 1:27 paints a picture of piety—of devotion to God—that is anything but oblivious." - Tom Ward, Advocacy Global
Funding Through Kickstarter
Now that Compassion Gallery is announced, we’re seeking your help to get it off the ground. Our greatest expense is unOblivious, the first of hopefully many books. Because it’s a rather large book (9” x 13.25”, hardcover), it’s not cheap to print and ship. In addition to the book, there are many costs associated with launching such a venture: Printing high quality samples, quality framing of those samples, fulfilling Kickstarter rewards, building awareness through advertising channels, social media and events, and so on.
Kickstarter funds will be roughly allocated as follows:
We offer 7 different incentives for our Kickstarter backers! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask us.

As a token of our appreciation, we'll give you a shout-out in Compassion Gallery's first book, unOblivious.

Risks and challenges
There is the potential risk of the book, unOblivious, being delayed if the printing quality does not meet our expectations. There is also a similar risk of prints not being matted and/or framed to our expectations. That said, Ray and Brian have a great deal of print-production experience, and have partnered with the very best prepress/printing facilities. We believe that these partners are more than capable of delivering a beautiful product on time, and on budget.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
