Have a question?
No, not your television power cord but you could plug an 3.5mm headphone cable from the headphone port on your television into this thing or the power cord from an external audio system connected to your television into this thing. The device presented here is only a preliminary prototype. A manufactured device will look different. Also, this is the basic version of the device. Have another patent on the way for the next model of this device that will allow for additional connection methods like Bluetooth and component, composite and even optical audio connections. Have to give a manufacturer a starting point though. This basic device is the starting point. I thought that people would jump on this project and that there would be overwhelming support for it but do understand now that most people see such things as scams. Thought that presenting my idea here on Kickstarter would help but apperantly not. My book reward obviously is seen as a scam as well because it would seem to me that anyone that would offer a life's work to someone in addition to a device that is only for their benefit cannot be all that bad. Need a little money to jump start this project. This is not a scam and will move forward with or without any donations. Will just take me longer. You'll still be able to purchase my book online. Either as an eBook at my own website or hopefully on amazon.com next year. If you cannot afford my book, I'll send you an e copy for free. Just post an honest review of it for me to give it a boost.
Then you use a remote control that comes with this television silencer to basically turn the volume off during a commercial. Not really the best idea if you want my opinion.
And why are you giving a copy of some book your writing to those who pledge? Why aren't you giving them one of your television silencer's?
Let me get this straight. You plug you television into this thing
The pairing of the WiFi modules only has to occur once. Even after power loss the modules would retain there WiFi settings. I've already tested for that. No battery backup would be need inside the device to retain the settings in the event of a power loss. The only device that mandates a battery backup would be the FM radio module that would be inside the device. The MP3 player module's power source that would be inside the manufactured device should be wired always hot and only the MP3 player's audio connection would be disrupted by the Silencer. This way, the MP3 player would start playing where it left off each power cycle instead of starting over with the same song each time that the MP3 player is activated.
Also, failed to mention prior to sending the prototypes that the 3 gang prototype has a working WiFI module installed for one remote controlled outlet inside the prototype that was sent to you. However, the WiFi module needs to be paired with the APP for it, the APP is available for download from the Google Play store. In order to pair the module that is inside the 3 gang prototype with the APP, one would have to open the device and depress the pair button. An external access port for these pair buttons would have to be made available on the exterior of the device for the end user. There would also have to be at least three of these WiFi modules installed within the device.
The factory is requesting a complete BOM, according to my source.
Meant to say: 500 manufactured Television Commercial Silencer Electrical Wall Outlet Recepticle Taps not PC's.
Received an incredible offer today on a bundle deal for burntstorepc.com other than the one that told you about. Might go with this one instead. Talking again on Monday. It's everything that I need for getting into customer's homes. Right down to the credit card processing. They even wave the Transaction fees. Brand new program. They will even finance as revenue starts to grow. They are aware of my manufacturing efforts and my business model of taking my product straight to my customers and are looking into finance options for a manufacturing agreement as collateral. They said that I make a compelling case for considering that agreement as collateral on financing. They said that that is a new idea that they are going to explore. Cross your fingers that I can get at least 500 PC's soon. Told them that don't need marketing and advertising for my product because my business takes me into my customer's homes. They don't seem to know how NOT to help me now.
Here's an example of the benefits to an upgradable Television Commercial Silencer keeping up with new technologies: "Bluetooth Smart, also called Bluetooth Low Energy, is used to connect an Android phone or tablet to a device." With this emerging new Bluetooth technology, the Silencer could automatically detect and configure new audio devices that are near it.
The complication is inside the device not in its use. The device disrupts the power to the audio system (any audio system one chooses) and does not utilize infrared. --Both of said makes this device different from hitting mute on a standard TV remote control. That's not all, however, this device will have built in WiFi to enable one's smartphone as the remote control. Bluetooth on board or via dongle will allow connecting Bluetooth speakers or any Bluetooth enabled audio device for streaming, up stream and down stream. E.g. Streaming music from one's smartphone to the device or connecting a Bluetooth enabled TV directly to the device. The firmware of the device will be upgradeable as well as the smartphone APP to keep up with changing technologies and adding additional features. The possibilities are endless! I applaud the pioneering spirit in the invention of a "physical adblocker" - but I do have some questions:
a) How does this device actually work - does it block soundwaves, electrical currents, datafiltering? I am not an engineer - but i'm no stranger to advanced tech either. I really can't figure it out.
b) In your opinion - why is it smarter than a simple mute button on the remote control? It seems rather complicated in comparison - or is it only me?
