Blasting brass and staccato snares showcase the musical precision and excellence of Iowa's Ambassadors of Music, The Colts Drum and Bugle Corps, of Dubuque, Iowa. They are the last Division One drum corps in Iowa and they've been around for 50 years. Colts Cavalcade: No Boundaries, is the working title for documentary about this amazing organization.
Join the musical journey of the members of the Colts' A-corps as they move through the year, auditioning, rehearsing, and touring the country in order to prepare for completion at the Drum Corps International World Championships.
See the world-class performances of music in motion by the color guard and musicians as well as the personal stories shared by the volunteers, staff, corps members, and alumni.
Of special note are the interviews with DCI legends. We have had great support making this film so far thanks to our Executive Producer Molly Kress, Producers Grant Grudzina and Suzie Wright, and the filmmakers at PKP Productions and DreamCatcher Productions.
Risks and challenges
What is our main challenge? POST-PRODUCTION!
We already have the footage in the can (so they say)! The next step is watching, compiling, archiving, and editing the several hundred hours of footage we've captured. We've hired the professional team at DreamCatcher Productions to undergo post-production and they are currently at work taking the time to craft this amazing story.
The funding will go towards making this the best story possible! Is $10,000 all we need? No, it takes much more than our goal to make a complete film, and we hope that the people putting all their hard work into this are appropriately compensated. So we do appreciate any support above and beyond our goal! We will spend hours choosing the most entertaining and unique footage, editing it together to craft one streamlined story about the Colt's extraordinary 49th season. Share in the delightful music, the laughs, the tears, the hard work and sweat! By backing our project you will be supporting us through post-production putting our teams time and expertise to work. Additionally, on our Backer YouTube channel we hope to share exclusive hours of content that won't make the final cut of the film.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
