Sorry Cole - that's bullshit - and it allows you to fabricate it completely - you need to provide proper financials - not this hand input bullshit you are proposing - alternatively, you could just admit you are a conman - your call!

Matt Acosta, that comment cracked me up. Cole has got to get he's paper and coloring pencils out to make it seem like he spent our money wisely. How could you possibly run a start up business like this with out keeping an eye on all the in's and out goings? You should have all these credentials to hand and be checking them weekly!

    3. Matt Acosta am July 18

Seriously, do you even believe the stuff you say.

You have had 6 months to provide this to people, and now all the sudden a "digital" download takes 2 weeks plus. I could have downloaded the entire internet in 2 weeks. Tonight, I downloaded almost a terabyte of music and movies. Took an hour.....

    4. Cole Flournoy Projektgründer am July 17

      Hey Backers,

I just wanted to let everyone know that we are in fact preparing the financials. We were a bit perplexed to realize that our bank only allows us to download a very limited amount of data in digital form, and so we’ve had to go back and do quite a large amount of manual data entry in order to get everything together. This has turned out to be a time consuming process – but we are getting through it and will release the information as soon as we have it all together.

      Thanks so much,
      Cole

He's a conman - financials would prove the money went on fancy offices and other indulgences rather than actually trying to manufacture the docks and fulfill the pledges - showing real financials would prove that

    6. Matt Acosta am July 15

8 days ago you promised the "financials" what happened Cole!?

Cmon Cole - you're almost a week late dreaming up the figures that you will attempt to justify the non-delivery of even a single dock with - you really do appear to be a conman - you had six months to invent your financials but you cannot even get that in order! All you had to do was ship one single dock, if you failed to accomplish that you said you'd show the financials, but now you can't even do that

So it won't be ready tomorrow - like you assured us it would be six months ago - even your financials are late!

Who is independently verifying them Cole? Or are they just your version of them?

Where have been any other updates - have you now abandoned the project? You last spoke in the past tense, it reads like you've finally admitted this is not going to happen

I wonder if Kickstarter has a view on this project and timeline? It must be holding a few records internally and I imagine staff have coined a term for similar projects "ten bucks says this is going to be a ZenDock!". I'm personally looking forward to the next update on progress.

Well this was clearly a complete joke. Cole you have taken everyone for fools. You took our money and had fun with it. Still no product and no updates for 9 months. I no longer own the computer I ordered this for and I asked for a refund ages ago, yet still nothing on that front either. You are a thief and a crook!

I hope Cole is preparing his books for publication - his own timeline is approaching - in just over a month, Cole promised to publish books showing where the money went, I have no faith in him doing this at all, it's almost certainly going to be a broken promise like that of deliverable products or refunds ... or even regular updates ... all of which have not been delivers and have proved Cole to be nothing more than a scam-artist

    19. T. Runge am June 1

I always wonder why you do not see some current article, posts or news (here at kickstarter or your website, Facebook, web, ...) from Kelly Flournoy, Ali Quigley or Satheesh (your "current " zenboxx-team on your website http://zenboxx.com/pages/about )?

    20. Cole Flournoy Projektgründer am May 31

      Hey Joerg,

The prototypes shown in the main Kickstarter video are fully working models. We actually were very particular to show on video that plugging them in worked and devices powered on ect, so feel free to check again. There are also additional videos in our updates that show them working – like this one: http://kck.st/1TW1CaS

We know this project has been frustrating. It’s been frustrating for us because we really did put our heart, soul, and significant personal finances into making it work – so believe me, we feel this with all of you. I should point out also - we have been honest about everything we have said. We gave our best estimates on timing, and granted, we hit problems and our timing proved to be incorrect – but we wouldn’t have continued to develop the products, built a web store, ordered thousands of custom PCB boards, ordered custom manufactured cables, and much more if we weren’t serious about finishing. This has been a humbling experience for myself and the team, but we want you all to know - our heart has been in it the whole time.

      Sincerely,
      Cole

    22. Matt Acosta am May 30

I'm not saying, let's forget it, Rami. But I think threatening Cole like Matt did won't help a bit. In my opinion, Cole sure as hell has to lay open his books and let us backers know where the money went and why he can't produce any working samples. Although he is always talking about, there are some. Do it Cole: Show us a video of a working sample. And spare me your bullshit on cable colours.

Come on guys, I'm frustrated as well, but can we keep this conversation on a smart level? I don't know how much money you invested, but 200 bucks is not the amount worth threatening somebody (actually there's no reason for threating somebody, but that's another story). I'm not protecting Cole here, I keep coming back only to check, what ridiclous reasons he came up with again for not showing anything...

    26. Matt Acosta am May 13

I am still surprised kickstarter has done Jack shit about this I have contacted them numerous times and no reply.

Cole, your day of reckoning will come soon and you will be ousted as the fraud you are. I hope I never go to San Francisco and run into you...

    27. The Warden am May 6, 2016

I'm done with crowd source funding. There is little to no advantage to funding Kickstarter, indiegogo or other sites that continue to have that "take a chance" attitude with no remorse or considerations of the funders. Buy it when it comes out if it ever comes out. That is the only way to protect oneself. No one else will protect you. Its sad that a few (several 4 of 12) have failed for me. I dont like those odds.

Anyone else getting kind of excited - on January 8th Cole promised that is no delivery had been made, he would release the financials - the clock is ticking, no progress has been made, Cole is two months away from having to show us how he conned us, lived it up and misappropriated a lot of money. Mark the day Cole, because July 8th, you'll have a lot of people wanting to see the details of the game you played!

    30. Matt Acosta am May 3, 2016

Why do we have to wait for you to state the obvious, there is NO money and will never be any money.

    31. Matt Acosta am May 3, 2016

Come on Cole all this news that you are telling us is at least a year old!!! You failed us and will never deliver the product. Please stop with the nonsense... You have not made one functional dock and have NO money left.

    32. Cole Flournoy Projektgründer am May 3, 2016

      Hey @Collin,

We were extremely frugal with how we used the funds, but there were many things that came up that we had to deal with. We ended up having to do more work to get the units ready for mass manufacturing, there were engineering costs associated with that, prototyping costs, material costs, oversees shipping costs, testing costs, and costs for us to survive while doing it and general business costs. Expenses were mounting, and so we decided to fundraise from investors, and we thought that working in a group office space would get us more exposure to investors and also help us appear better for investment. So, we got a small single room office that the 3 of us shared, and it did help with our investment goals. After a ton of work on the fundraising front, we actually did receive a very large commitment that would have easily got us through manufacturing and allowed us to expand even, and we had other investors who were interested to come onboard after the initial investment happened - but after the lead investor had a major health crisis, the investment fell through. I went on to use personal savings, inheritance funds, credit cards and friends/family’s loans to keep things going forward - we just didn’t get there. We are still working on a solution though, but if we can’t make it work, we will arrange and release the financials as promised.

      Best,
      Cole

    33. The Warden am May 2, 2016

His man-bun hair on linked in is absurd. "Be respectful and considerate"...yeah...ok. You and your projects are a complete and utter failure.

    34. Collin McCabe am April 30, 2016

      Hi ZenDock Team,

After a while since I posted my last comment, I still haven't seen the financial statements that (it sounded like) were on their way. It seems fairly apparent that, while you have posted some pictures of prototypes, we have certainly not seen $100,000+ of products posted. So my question is: where did the money go? Did you buy yourselves new company computers? Pay for office space? Pay yourselves salaries? I know this sounds accusatory, but I really am very frustrated with how things have turned out, and would just like to understand the situation a little better.

      Thanks,
      Collin

      1 year ago:

We’ve got some great news! As most of you are aware, we had an investment fall through and we temporarily had to hold off on moving forward to complete manufacturing. It was frustrating and unfortunate, but we didn’t give up – and we’re glad we didn’t.

We are now very excited to announce that we’ve gathered enough resources so that we can pick back up where we left off and start moving forward again!

We’re not completely out of the woods yet. We’ve gathered these resources on our own, the old fashioned way, and we’re still navigating a financial tightrope - but things are looking up and we are able to move forward again.

The first order of business is to complete the Zendock Air units. This model is the easiest to get through manufacturing, and as soon as we do, we’ll be able to start taking orders for it again. This alone will generate revenue, but the team will also continue pulling in outside resources, which will allow us to more quickly begin processing refund requests and also move forward with other Zendock models.

Cole, you didn't tell us usable facts. You made a lot of trash talk. We want facts:
how much money is missing to fulfill the job, we paid you to do? How much money still exists? Telling us this facts would be a beginning getting back some trust.

Time for kickstarter to intervene, otherwise they're implicit in this fraud. Any project requires a defined budget and timeline (unless it's backed by someone with unlimited pockets which this is not). This can not keep going from month to month, year to year.

Produce product or go bankrupt and refund what's left.

      Joel am April 4, 2016

Of course this is a scam currently. Until you deliver and proof. I have never seen a tech that is so easy developed so slow. Any china manufacturer could do the whole thing in a month, maybe with less quality. But come on we are not talking about quality anymore, its wether you deliver or not, and that was years ago.
So don't say its no scam, for now, it is.

    47. Cole Flournoy Projektgründer am March 27, 2016

      Hey Ian,

Totally valid concern. If you would like to change your order to a different version dock, just email or message us through Kickstarter and we are happy to do that for you. If that doesn’t suffice, then we can also put you on the refund request list – which means essentially that after your dock is manufactured, we will sell it to someone else and give you a refund at that time.

      Cheers,
      Cole

PS Backers – We’ve been talking about our business plans on here, so feel free to read my past comments to learn our plans on how we will move forward, and feel free to direct message me through Kickstarter if you like.

    48. Matt Acosta am March 26, 2016

@ian I would contact Cole and see, I doubt it would be a problem. But then again there needs to be a dock built besides the one in the Kickstarter videos to actually produce one dock in the wild..

Team, this has taken a phenomenal amount of time to bring to fruition. I understand fully that you have hit some very difficult times. However, my concern is that the dock I chose as part of my reward may well be obsolete by the time it comes to fulfilment. Is there going to be an option to choose an alternative?

      Thanks for your time.
