Crab Dash! A 3-6 player racing/betting game for ages 8+
A fast-paced hermit crab racing/betting Board Game. Crab Dash delivers the excitement and betting aspect of a hermit crab race.
The BEST (possibly only) crab racing game on the market! Place Your Bets! Which crab will win the race to the outer rim of the board? Roll dice, play cards, place bets, and help the crab(s) you chose to bet on win the race! This fast-paced racing/betting game delivers all the excitement of a REAL hermit crab race.
Crab Dash takes the excitement of a hermit crab race and makes it into a racing/betting board game with beautiful and fun artwork! The game is intriguing and simple enough for kids, but has enough mechanics and strategy to keep adults interested and invested.
** Shown above are not what the final components will look like. They are similar, but we will have a graphic designer and artist making the components and box artwork extra pretty for you. **
** If you are a retailer and interested in purchasing copies of Crab Dash for your store, please contact us for pricing. **
Tantrum House goes over the game play and makes some comparisons to some other great racing games!
Logan Chops does an excellent run through of a few turns and his "Good, Bad, and the Ugly" at the end is pretty excellent.
Here's a video of our game being played at the Extra Life charity event on November 4, 2017. They did a pretty good job.
** If you live in Columbus, OH (or close) you could skip shipping and pick up your copy at one of our favorite places - Tabletop Cafe Columbus. **
Risks and challenges
Fulfilling our first campaign (Battle Blakes) went pretty smoothly. We were able to get the game out to our backers by our estimated date. We did this by allowing some extra time in our estimate. We learned a lot in our first venture and can't wait to get this one out in the wild.
That's not to say that there can't or won't be risks for this campaign. This project is a lot more than just cards, so there could be a few hiccups that we haven't thought about yet. This is a much larger undertaking, but we are confident that we will be able to use the knowledge we've gained to keep the project running smoothly.
The game is close to complete with artwork and components, but there's always room for improvement and we want to be able to listen to backer suggestions. There is some graphic design work to be completed on the game board and box art. After the campaign ends, we hope to have everything finalized and off to the printer within 6 weeks (sooner, if possible).
We've worked diligently with our manufacturer on all the components to make sure that we have a high quality for the best price. We are confident with our price point and being able to get the game out to backers within a good time frame.
We intend to be completely transparent through the process and keep our backers informed. After the campaign we will have a detailed timeline for everyone and let you know of any speed bumps we hit along the way.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
