About the Game:
Enter the imagination of our reluctant, but lovable protagonist. His name is Blake and you never know which persona you're going to get. Every person imagines themselves with different personas, Battle Blakes allows you to take on one of Blake's. Battle Blakes: First Bash is an exciting take-that conflict card game. Each player has one of Blake's many personas selected for them and then the fun begins.
Battle Blakes is a fun lighthearted game where your goal as a player is to destroy the other players' Self-Esteem (health) becoming the one true Blake. There are many ways to knock Self-Esteem down; Verbal Assaults, Battles of Wits, or even cards that can directly target a player's Self-Esteem.

Some of the game mechanics have evolved from the time of some of these reviews. The main theme and gameplay still operates in a very similar fashion. All of the changes have been improvements to make the game more streamlined and enjoyable.

Risks and challenges
We've spent months upon months trying to figure out all the different scenarios that could happen after funding. We did not want to go into this half-cocked and get blindsided by something unexpected.
Nothing can ever go 100% as planned, but with a strong plan you shouldn't be too far off the mark. So here's a breakdown of things that we feel could be challenges or potential issues and how we think we can and will be able to handle them.
Making Sure We Hit Our Goal:
We set our goal low in hopes that we will be able to eclipse it with ease.
Our plan is to be relentless in responding to comments throughout the campaign and keeping our backers in the loop with updates.
We are comprised of gamers, but this is our first attempt at creation. We feel that we have come up with a great game and hope others will come to that realization also.
We've worked with manufacturers to get pricing through each of our stretch goals and made sure nothing would put us over budget. We wanted to make sure we could offer the best game for the lowest price possible and each stretch goal is strategically placed to make sure that happens.
The artwork is done by two of our founding members so there won't be a delay in getting any of the artwork created.
The cards have been developed and playtested thoroughly. We went through a rigorous process to make sure the game is balanced and enjoyable.
Shipping & Delivery Date:
Domestic shipping is a flat rate.
For Foreign shipping we've worked diligently to come up with an average cost that should cover shipping anywhere. And have looked into distribution centers if the volume is high outside of the United States.
Realistically we hope that as soon as the campaign ends we can send it to a manufacturer and get production started, but everyone knows that is a lofty goal. Once the Kickstarter comes to a close we will layout a detailed timeline for our backers that should allow us to meet our March/April shipping goal with ease.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
