34 hours to go! We reached our stretch goal!

Dear Code of the Freaks Supporters,

We have 34 hours to go with this campaign. A huge heartfelt THANK YOU!! Your support means so much to us and to this project.

We have inched over our $35,000 stretch goal!!!!!  Yesterday, a group of disability activists offered to match any further donations up to $2000. We have already met $1713 of that challenge! Any new donations coming in will be doubled to reach that $2000 match.

Please help us spread the word that our campaign is nearing its end date and that we still are seeking contributions to make this one-of-a-kind film a reality. Your help spreading the word is a fantastic way to help us end with a flourish!

Our initial "ask" of $30,000 was a much pared-down version of our ideal budget. With every additional dollar, we can include more interviews, increase our production values, and help us with finishing costs. We also want to hire an audio describer to work with us during editing to create aesthetically pleasing and most useful "pauses" where visuals should be made accessible while still maintaining the film's pace. To our knowledge, this would be a "first" to shoot and edit a documentary with access features in mind at every stage.

As Susan said in our pitch video, "We are going to make the best film, well, ever!"
