    7. Creator Charles Sestito on March 11, 2011

Any thoughts of switching the logo so the em is under the oc? It would look cleaner and make more sense! I love the logo, just an idea! Can't wait to receive my dockem in the mail!

    8. Creator Chris & Colby Moyer on March 9, 2011

Lauryn, if things go well with our first batch of the black Dockems, there will definitely be different colors coming in the future!

    9. Creator Lauryn Woodman on March 9, 2011

Congrats! I was wondering; any chances for different colored dockems in the future? I would love a white one to match my ereader and my room.

    15. Creator Nancy C. on February 27, 2011

thanks for the response chris. i'm still going to back this as i'm curious to try the dockem out...good luck!

    16. Creator Chris & Colby Moyer on February 22, 2011

Nancy, we've looked into expanding the Dockem, and have decided to keep the current design. Unfortunately, the Dockem becomes less effective for thinner devices as the docking space gets bigger. For now, these thinner devices provide us a much larger market, and so we want to make sure that the Dockem is ideal for these devices. I'm sorry to disappoint, but thanks so much for your interest, and be sure to check in every once in a while; if things go well with this design, perhaps the Dockem 2 will be the answer for your iPad in the OB case!

    17. Creator Nancy C. on February 21, 2011

Just wanted to check if the Dockem shelf thickness is still only 0.787"? And if it's increased perhaps to fit more iPads/etc devices in cases? Have you done research on what thicknesses of which products should be supported? Thanks!

    18. Creator Chris & Colby Moyer on February 11, 2011

Joseph, because the Dockem is designed to be more of a little "shelf" rather than a snug fit, the droid x fits into it just fine. You can see the photo in the video and on dockem.com of a droid x in the Dockem, and this one even has a case on it. As far as moving the Dockem, the Command strips that are coming with the Dockem can't be moved to a new location once they are set (they can still be removed, but are not reusable - you can get new ones at your local convenience store or order them online). We are currently testing another adhesive solution for the Dockem, however, that would allow you to move it from room to room, so stay tuned for updates in the near future!

    19. Creator joseph DiGiovanni on February 9, 2011

i have a droid x and im sure it should fit, where the camera is there is a bulge for the top area of the phone and by the bottom its smaller. will one side of the mount have to be bigger than the other side? because of the style of the phone??? Also can we move the dock from room to room? or will it loose its grip after a while???

    20. Creator Nancy C. on January 28, 2011

Thanks for checking! Oops I meant the iPhone 3GS Otterbox Defender case is 0.8" and iPad OD is 0.94" --- what about making the universal wall dock default thickness 25mm or 1"? As the OD cases are super popular and probably the thickest around, and then your Dockem could pretty much accommodate everything :DDDD I'm in for 2 if that happens!

    21. Creator Chris & Colby Moyer on January 27, 2011

Wow, I am glad you asked Nancy. I looked into this and realized that my website is wrong and I had done the conversions wrong (I'm used to working in mm for the design purposes). The Dockem is actually compatible with any devices under 20mm thick, which is about .787 inches. Looking at the tech specs here: http://www.otterbox.com/iPhone-4-Defender-Series-Case/APL2-I4XXX,default,pd.html for the Otterbox says it's only about .66 inches, so yes, it should work! Let me know if you have any more questions.

    22. Creator Nancy C. on January 27, 2011

Will this fit the iPhone or iPad in the Otterbox Defender case? Are they over 0.6" thick...? Thanks!

    23. Creator Chris & Colby Moyer on January 24, 2011

Yes, the Dockem will work with the Apple microfiber cover. Will post pictures tonight.

    24. Creator Greg on January 24, 2011

Will the emdock hold my ipad while still in the apple microfiber cover?

    25. Creator Chris & Colby Moyer on January 23, 2011

Just added 3 more reward levels, to get 2, 3, or 4 Dockems. Let me know if there is something else you guys want me to add as a reward! Thanks again for all your support!

    26. Creator Nicolas Betancur on January 23, 2011

It's too late now (or not?), but I wish there were a middle ground between $15(which I pledged) and $65 (which is too much for me, as much as I'd like to have 5 of these).

Anyway to pledge a little more and get an extra one or two?

    27. Creator Mike on January 22, 2011

Great idea, simple and effective. One way you can feature the major benefit to your system is to show how flexible it is. For example, I can see using one kit to hold the iPad, but then using a single, right side piece somewhere in the middle and now it supports my phone or my iPad. Also, this system is great for people that change devices, it's unlikely that anyone sticks to a particular phone or device very long... either the individual finds something new or the manufacturer changes the design. Third party accessory builders are always playing catch-up when new form factors hit the market.
I think this makes a great universal design that's elegant in its simplicity. Best of luck.

    28. Creator Chris & Colby Moyer on January 14, 2011

If you want to add the international shipping, you can simply choose the reward you want, then it should allow you to put in your own pledge amount. So for example, you can choose the $15 reward, but actually pledge $23. You can reach me at info@dockem.com if you have any problems. Thanks for supporting my project!

    29. Creator Verdi on January 14, 2011

Hi, I really want to go for the pre-order option, but there is no way to add the extra $8,- for international shipping. How do I solve this?

    30. Creator captinryan on January 11, 2011

I can't even imagine life without one or even sleeping from 11:47-11:52 without one either!

    31. Creator Carol Hilbert on January 11, 2011

Hahaha great video man, best of luck. If you're ready to make an infomercial ready for TV let me know, I'll don my Billy Mays costume from haloween and we can start filming ASAP. My rates are very reasonable.

    34. Creator Constance Moyer on January 10, 2011

Great! Like the video. You and Dena did a good job. Pledges are coming in. I posted it on my Facebook and will send out some emails. Love, Mom
