1,725k Reached - Plastic Token Pack Optional Buy Revealed!

Posted by CMON (Creator)

We are officially into the last week of the Kickstarter campaign, and yet another Stretch Goal has been unlocked! Backers who get the Nikki Human Optional Buy will also receive Nikki Zombivor.

So we've got the Experience Deck #2 coming up and with just 1 week, spread the word to everyone you know who loves (to kill) zombies!

Now, this is a little different - a plastic token pack!  Zombicide fans have been making wooden versions of the tokens for quite a while now and we thought it was a great idea, so we decided to release something for those of you not too hot about DIY tokens.

The Plastic Token Pack contains 74 plastic tokens, including Spawn Zones, Exit Zone, Objectives, Noise and Skill markers. The contents of the pack are sufficient to play any mission from Season 1, Season 2, Season 3, Toxic City Mall or Angry Neighbors! These high-quality tokens are made of hard plastic with embossed and painted features, and are being offered here for a very special price. Check out all the plastic tokens included in the pack:

All tokens are double-sided, and the reverse side of the colored tokens are the standard red.

We don't know if this will make it into regular retail distribution (accessories are always tricky to figure production quantity) or if it will have more than one print run, so if this is your kind of thing then this will be surest way to get it.

If you're interested in purchasing this optional buy, please just click the Manage Pledge button on the Zombicide Season 3 Kickstarter page and in the pledge manager add the amount of the item you'd like to add. We'll sort out what your extra money is going towards after the campaign has closed and we've sent out our pledge manger.

Litko makes custom tokens for games too. Though they tend to be pricey and they don't quite match the style of this game. I'm in for these official tokens, though it is sad that they didn't provide a plastic version for all other tokens as well.

Problem with helicopters isn't so much pilots, as it is the mechanics and parts. Unlike cars, for a chopper to fly one hour will require many hours of work by mechanics and usually a number of spare parts. Good luck with keeping them flying.

    3. Ben Duguid on

@Dremacon That has certainly been the case with the previous projects, yes. However additions made through Pledge Manager probably wouldn't count towards any announced but unattained goals - although these have sometimes been offered as an optional purchase if the goal wasn't met.

Where are 3D cars? Where ? Mix up
plastic with punch board are not so good. If we can substitute all the tiles ok but keep part in plastic an part no isn't for me...sorry

    5. Dani C on

Something to chew while playing for that stressful moments when you're surrounded by zombies and your friend in the next zone got a molotov.
      Nice tokens!!

    6. Terence Lee on

I would've preferred custom objective tokens.

Please include plastic door tokens too. I don't want 3d doors, but I do want plastic tokens. I'm not going to buy plastic tokens unless it replaces all the cardboard tokens.

    9. Lachlan Blackmore on

Not sure how pledge became thread... but there you are.

    10. Lachlan Blackmore on

@ Dremacon. As I recall from last season, once the Kickstarter closes the pledge manager did allow you to increase your thread. I haven't read anything to that effect so far, and don't want to misinform anyone, but I assume it will be the the same in this season.

    11. Chrisoc13 on

NVMD. Just learned to read. Cool, they look good to me.

    12. Chrisoc13 on

Also are the colored objective tokens double sided with the other side being red? This is a must, as many scenarios call for the colored objective tokens to be used in such a manner.

    13. Chrisoc13 on

All I want now is the RM zombivors. That is all!

    14. Daming Fu on

      Where are the SWITCHES?

    15. Carmen on

I love all of these updates just to read the comments from the sourpusses.
Has there been an update yet without someone complaining?

Tokens: Not for me, but a nice addition to pimp out your game a little. Liked.

    16. Nadim Alam on

Wtf is this piece of crap?!

Expecting 3d models of peices and instead we get flat plastic cut outs? Really?

      Another poor update/addon from cmon!

Really wish they had listened a whole lot more like they promised at the start of this project. Not happy with this at all as it now means we will never get 3d replacements this year :(

    17. David Lee Seymour on

A buddy of mine has done beautiful 3d clear tinted acrylic markers and is working on a "fit-in" 3d car ( holds 4 figs, takes up exact proper bard space) , all VERY nicely done, but can't find his link among the thousands of BGG stuff =/

    18. Miranda Polsean on

Loving the upgrades! Can we do cars?? OMG, 3D CARS!! and maybe manholes? Because man, sometimes it's hard to find those, so if they popped it would be a lot easier!

    19. Micah Rose on

@CMoN and/or Thiago I really like the look of the plastic tokens, but I won't be pimping my set unless the tokens are non-slip. I need a functional upgrade for $15. Especially since I'll basically have infinity tokens at the end of all this. Can they be produced on a slip-resistant rubber plastic?

      Neo Tiong Cheng on

Hey GG and CMON, how about upgrading RM and AN box to include these plastic tokens rather that making it a optional buy which may or may not be available in the future? That will make the base box set even better!

    21. Peter Kinsley on

+1 for this "Waiting on a Raj and Bernadette to round out that group of survivors."
FFS, don't drag it on for another KS season...

    22. Eli Butcher on

@Carlos - Placing them next to the board does resolve my issues with the grass! Good point!

    23. wargamer70 on

Should really add the blue symbol that you use on the map for player entry area to your plastic set.

    24. Dremacon on

Those plastic tokens look amazing. Just to make it 100% clear, we'll be able to add all these optional buys at the time the pledge manager arrives, yes? Money's running a bit tight this month.

    25. Jeremey on

Very nice update and great price on the tokens!

    26. Carlos Kamu Zermeño on

Thanks for the kind comments, guys. I also made som very crappy-looking doors using balsa wood, but left the project unfinished once I saw the FB photo with the upcoming plastic doors.

@Eli: I envisioned them as coming out of their graves, hence the grass and dirt. As for looking odd on the board, I always place them next to it, as they take too much space. (But yes, they look weird anyway).

@Ian: I got the crates and backpacks (not show as I haven't panted them yet) from a box of bits I have. They're resin pieces for WWII dioramas, and I simply cloned the using Insta Mold. Sadly, I can't help you tracking some, as they're quite old and got them at a Mexican convention from a guy who makes them himself.

    27. David M on

Thank you for these great quality tokens!!!

    28. Francois on

Steven, there's nô need of more with ultra red...
Second time you reach orange, you don't need tokens for it, you hâve them all! Than you reach red And add the token you took on orange...

Doing that way, 24 tokens are enough for 12 survivors !

    29. Ian Allen

Carlos - those look awesome! Where are the crates from for the objectives?

    30. Eli Butcher on

@Carlos, I like the 3D nature of the Spawn Tokens, but one thing I noticed, is that most spawn points are always on concrete, so these grass spawns will look odd on the board? I could see these with concrete/rubble textures though. Either way, great job!

    31. Daisy Swaffer on

Lovely tokens, nice optional. I won't be getting them as I'm happy with the cardboard ones but it's a nice optional, good work

      Steven Long on

I like these but not enough to buy them.......sorry! I'd need at least two packs, probably more in team play just to have sufficient advancement arrows. There are only enough for each player in a 6 player game to hit red once. My group regularly go ulrared!

      Steven Long on

@Carlos, those are fantastic spawn tokens. I really don't like painting minis personally, but that's because i'm rubbish at it. What you've done looks really cool.

Pack of Baricades only, thank you :)

    35. donnbobhardy

      @Incog - It does now!!

    36. Boh hort on

I realise it is just they way they are laid out in the pic but does it bother anyone else that the ears in the noise markers are on their sides

    37. Jonathan on

I like these plastic tokens and they may very well get added to my pledge after this closes. I need to see what other options, if any, pop up before the end.
I'm okay with the 2D nature of these since noise counters can add up quickly. They only idea I had was little triangular/pyramid like cones that could nest with each other into nice stacks in a zone. The only issue would be storage. The flat ones all fit rather nicely under the plastic figure trays. 3D ones might require a separate storage solution just for counters. :P

    38. donnbobhardy

@Carlos - Those spawn tokens are AMAZING!!
@Valente - I'm not saying they are useless. Merely that there are many who would prefer to get something that adds gameplay.

    39. Skritter on

Can we have a separate purchase for the Barricades please?

    40. Carlos Kamu Zermeño on

These tokens look, indeed, very cool. But some of them come a bit too late for me:

Spawn tokens (created using the cardboard spawn tokens), Exit token mounted on a plastic stand and (WIP) Objective tokens.

    41. Kenna

Love the plastic tokens! Think I'll pick up two sets, just in case!

    42. Miguel Michan

I expected the plastic tokens (especially, the objetive tokens) were something more creative, something like what you did with the barricades. Fully 3D, not just a plastic marker. :(

    43. Francois on

Donnbobhardy, plastic tokens are always good, it's more durable than cardboard tokens... I've been playing board game for over 25 years now and i know you can be as care full as you want, they'll be damaged over time (simply by ... Take-off a french dictionnary : la sueur )

    44. Goeshi on

@Valente. Me too. Would LOVE doors in this style, the 3D ones do nothing for me.

    45. Peter Sciretta

Love the plastic tokens. Purchased. Wish they were a little more 3D.

Now if only they would release another 3D pieces addon for other assets in the first seasons (cars, etc)

    46. Jo Bain on

Waiting on a Raj and Bernadette to round out that group of survivors.

Not terribly excited by the stretch goals this season. Doubled up stretch goals for one item and few freebies.

    47. donnbobhardy

@PewPew - Besides, it would probably end up taking 2 of our stretch goals if they did it.

    48. donnbobhardy

@PewPew - I think there are enough people that DON'T want these that an add-on is a better option.

    49. Francois on

Can you make plastic door tokens ? I just don't like your 3D doors but i'd like to hâve them as tokens.
