There has been a quasi-implied timeline...

    2. Charles Tuttle on

And it is even better for playing a campaign-styled game where the season 1 survivors are like the original walking dead group...play them, they get better, meet up with other experienced players and make way to prison, group dynamics change, and now we reach terminus with RM and AN

    3. Elfo on

Thinking about removing my pledge completely since the best stretch goals are now only half of a full product? This game was never balanced and with all the new cards and options it will take forever to find a good mix.

    4. Thiago Aranha on

Confirming that there will be Ultimate Zombivor stats on the back of the dashboards.

    5. Chainbreaker on

Just a thought: ultimate survivors are not replacement for the standard ones but another way to adjust the difficulty ...

    6. Paul Brown on

Bad ass update. Yay for more stuff, boo to all the haters

    7. Nadim Alam on

      Lame add-on, waste of money!

    8. Peter Charlesworth on

I would buy an overpriced re-model of Dave the Geek without any hesitation

    9. Skritter on

I think the group would also like the ability to buy just the other half of the Experience Deck if they are not interested in the Ultimates.

    10. Vinsssounet on

I think that's a step in the wrong direction.

I won't developp about the fake stretch goals we in fact have to buy later to have it whole. Just... please stop.

But those Ultimate Survivors, I can only find negative side to them. With already 50++ Survivors, if you start having Survivor + Zombivor + Ultimate versions, this is never ending, and just not needed.
The power creep is also scary : why would someone use the older versions of the characters ?

    11. Thiago Aranha on

Guys, the 54-card Experience Deck you got as a SG is "just half" of a full deck, as much as the 110-card deck in Ultimate Survivors is "just half" of a hypotetical 220-card deck that could be created. There's certainly enough material to create such a deck, but that doesn't mean the 110-deck is unplayable. We created the 54-card deck to be perfectly playable for Experience Mode. For the Ultimate Survivors box, we decided to expand that deck, so the box could have a little something extra to it.

      ebay ;)

    13. Aneurin James Kennerley on

they could just sell Ultimate Dave for $25

I do think this is a beneficial add on for someone like Peter who doesn't have season 1. You get the survivors without shelling out $100 for the full game.

For those of us that already have season 1, it stinks that we have to buy the survivors all over again to just get the extra experience cards.

I wont be pledging for these, now if they make an ultimate survivor pack for the promos from season 1, I'm in.

      Neo Tiong Cheng on

Dear GG and CMON, can we have the zombivors of the RM survivors?

Also, the price of the AN tile pack doesn't make "cents". RM tile pack is $25 for 9 while AN tile pack is $15 for 3. i don't think think AN tiles should cost almost twice as much. and no, that helicopter token doesn't make up for it.

Sets like Murder of Crows and US #1 should be stretch goal freebies rather than optional buys. imo

      Thanks.

@adam - Wanda minus slippery is not powercreep - it's power slip...

    17. Khaali on

Why not give backers the ultimate dashboards, so people who have S1 can use the old figs? Would be better than half a deck of campaign-only stuff...

Cool update, the new survivor is one of the most interesting of S3. More experience cards and updated survivors seems pretty cool. I always liked Phil, but his blue power was pretty meh. How do you balance these though? They seem very overpowered. Why would you ever play josh from season 2 when you can play Phil to have the same power AND start with a shotgun! I hope there is a way to balance these new survivors and experience cards and that it doesn't end up being another case of completely overpowered like the Zombivors.

    19. Abbath on

@Aneurin James Kennerley: Slippery for Wanda was only great if you misinterpret the slippery rules. Means you use slippery as a "ignore all zombies in crossed zones" skill.
If you use it according to the written rules Wanda is identical to Josh because she has to stop in each zombie occupied zone.

    20. Peter Charlesworth on

      Woo Hoo!
      I'm really happy with this.
I missed S1 and only started at S2, so I have zombivor versions of those survivors collecting dust as I don't have the normal versions, but with these I don't need the normal ones :)

    21. Peer

They should offer a barricade bundle and a experience card bundle instead of mixing this stuff together...

    22. Byron "Mythaholic" CC on

@adam The 54-card Experience Deck given in the SG is sufficient to play in Experience Mode. We included a bigger deck in the Ultimate Survivors box to give more variety to those who may want it. And having multiples of the same card allows different Survivors to get the same type of card, if you're interested in that.

Love new wanda, one of my favorite character !!

    24. Adam Fair on

Really, really not a fan of this:

      1) What's the point of doing new art and models for existing characters? All that does is 'lock out' 6 existing survivors from being chosen, as there is now no reason to use the old versions.

      2) Why are these literally just better than the original versions? There's no trade-off or balance, it's just power creep.

      3) This makes the previous stretch goal pointless, as is it neither a 'complete' feature now (you're only playing with 50% of the options available), and if you do buy this pack, all of those cards are useless.

Also, 4) Selling these things at a $5 discount in exchange for a 7+ month wait before delivery is...not exactly generous! It's not really representing the value of having an interest-free loan up front, or the fact that you don't have to give retailers a cut.

I like this update, my bank account does not...

    26. Goeshi on

@ MARAÏNI. I agree. This should be two optional purchases, not one. There's no sense in bundling the cards and survivors.

    27. Andrew Wodzianski on

I like free stuff, don't get me wrong. But free stuff that's just 1/2 of a commercial expansion (crows, and now this experience deck) is pretty lame.

    28. Byron "Mythaholic" CC on

You do realise it's optional right? No one is forcing you to buy the box... Go whine elsewhere, you pledged for s3 and possibly AN... Anything else is entirely up to you. So stfu

Sorry for the double post my computer and internet connection is lacking me.

    30. G-R-B-Herb on

Digging the season 1 survivor update.

    31. MARAÏNI Mathieu on

It is a pity that once again a stretch goal is reflected in part in an optional purchase. I understand that we must unlock options, but the campaign would benefit if we did not have the impression of being increasingly taken for cows. For example by adding an option to buy for anyone just wanting to complete the boxes partially unlocked. or to the deck to experience a side at $ 10, and the other survivors ultimates $ 15?

I found against by the concept of great new characters, although it is something new with the old, but it must be recognized that on my side these characters were a bit neglected compared to other survivors.

I'm currently unsure about putting money into this option because I have two decks of cards with a more complete experience than the other.

      I think thats great! :)

    34. Sanguinius on

      that is obviously power creep!
I would prefer 6 new characters over 6 revised ones.
I understand they dont come with their zombivor counterpart...
will those be redesigned as well?
will the dashboards include the zombivor part (old or new) on the flipside or not?
and a larger XP deck that you can only buy with this box...
I dont like all these obvious marketing ploys... and the balance of zombicide is being chucked out the window with so much additional skills...

    35. Thiago Aranha on

@Goeshi: A Survivor cannot have multiple copies of the same Experience Card, though his natural Skills may stack with those from Experience Cards. Having multiple decks allows different Survivors to get the same type of Experience Card, though.

    36. Skritter on

      Please, please, please,
include an individual numbering system on the Experience Cards similar to the Spawn decks. We will really need it to keep track of who has what and manage survivors experience from game to game. It would also help to remember one favourite cards and finding them quickly.

    37. Daming Fu on

Reselling the backers what I already have with a bit what they don't have. That's ridiculous. And where are the 6 zombivors. And this is #1? So there will be #2 #3? And they look so similar to season 1. And don't you dare create ultimate survivors of the ks promos!

    39. Goeshi on

So we'll have duplicate experience cards. Does this mean we can double-up and stack the results? Gonna be some VERY powerful combos available.

    40. Cepero on

      Does US#1 include zombivores?

    44. Snowren24

This has just gotten out of hand...there us already more stuff than we will ever need, and then to resell us on stuff we already have is ridiculous. The fact that there are more experience cards packed in is egregious.

Zombicide has always been a money grab with all the KS exclusive content, but man, this one just feels like it crossed the line.

    45. Aneurin James Kennerley on
