Heroes Return in Ultimate Survivors! As well as a rather large newcomer...

Hail Survivors!

The menacing warrior Spearhead joins our ranks!

To celebrate, not only do we have a very special Stretch Goals (at the end of this post!) but we have another surprise for you as well!

We're sure you've no doubt seen some of our previous Optional Buy offerings:

And today we have one more very special offering for you...

Some of you might have been wondering- with the new threat of the Green Horde, just what have our Black Plague Season 1 Heroes been up to? It would appear that they have been gathering their strength, honing their skills, and, most of all, reaching legendary status in their fight against the Necromancers!

Presenting the Kickstarter Exclusive set of Black Plague Ultimate Survivors!

Gather the original group of Black Plague in their new Ultimate Survivor versions! See how this band of heroes has progressed during the Plague Times with new experiences and training- and of course, being the Ultimate Survivors they are, that means two blue Skills right off the bat!

If you're interested in purchasing this optional buy, please just click the "Manage Your Pledge" button on the Zombicide: Green Horde Kickstarter page and in the pledge manager add $30. We'll sort out what your extra money is going towards after the campaign has closed and we've sent out our Pledge Manager.

But wait! We're not done just yet! The excitement just keeps coming! In honor of our returning friends, we also have a very unique survivor joining their ranks!

And just so you understand how big this guy really is, here he is next to another survivor for reference:

Finarton here is a unique case among the survivors- namely in the fact that he is a Giant- which brings with it some unique properties, such as being able to see over building and hedges that the "shorter folk" cant (of course, this means he can be seen as well), as well as having a longer reach than most when it comes to attacking.

Perhaps his most interesting feature, however, is his unique power to, well, throw things around (hey, being that big has plenty of benefits). Friends and foe alike can be tossed by the mighty Finarton, dealing damage based on their equipped weapon (in the case of allies) or how big they are (in the case of enemies)- Oh, and don't worry when it comes to tossing allies around, it's a coordinated effort, so they won't get hurt! ... Though we're sure they would appreciate not being thrown into a large mob of zombies!

The crusade against the Green Horde continues, survivors! Take up arms and bright the fight to the Necromancers!

@Adrian - You change your pledge to the total that you want. You'll be asked to specify which add-ons you want later. It works quite well.

    5. Adrian Ward on

I don't understand these optional buys. Will there be a survey asking which ones you want? Or do I modify my pledge? If I modify the pledge how will you know which ones I want as there are a few that are $50?

    6. Koorak on

Tilt the giant's head down and he'll be perfect.

    7. Captain Malevil on

Before going in for this addon I'd want to see final designs (and if these are final... bye). BTW, original BP guest artist addons (non KSE) would be a great idea to pump this up. Maybe with ultimate-non ultimate cards and you can charge a little more ;-)

I love the new giant! Thank you, CNoM! It's great to see another game mechanic thrown into the mix, pun intended.

    9. Alex Nelsen on

Do the updated survivors come with new cards as well?

+1 For other non-human survivors / necromancers. This campaign is definitely starting to go in the right direction in that sense. Great work on the giant!
How about a Goblin shaman followed by a dragonborn survivor?

With Spearhead and Lividia being homages to Mad Max Fury Road, please please give us an Immortan Joe Necromancer or Abomination!!!!!

    12. Skritter on

Baldric looks bad-ass and luuuuve the MAGIC BLAST coming from his hand.

      Silas is carrying a BOW.
I think their is only 1 other survivor that the sculpt has a bow instead of a common crossbow and that was a Guest Artist survivor. More bow's please.

Very nice to see another non- human hero!

      We need more of these!

The Ultimate Survivors come with new and improved starting equipment cards right? Right?

      THE GIANT:

      SCULPT - Tilt the giant's head/gaze down.
Giants always look down at their foes.

SCULPT - Would rather the giant have a tree branch instead of the axe.

RULE - He should not be allowed to enter normal buildings

(I agree with many previous posters)

    16. Agreave (A new wardrobe IS required) on

I hope the giant stays at the scale shown-unlike what happened with the Kraken in R&B2!

@MichaelSchiall or @Thiago what size base is the giant on and is there a chance you have a picture with him standing with the hedges? One of the other folks had a great question, does his size prevent him from entering buildings?

So.... about that extra KSE version of the MDXO...

I'm definitely going to throw the badger into a big block of zombies

    22. FlorianAliasJoe on

I noticed Kittye said it before I do but there's a mistake in the "title name" on Baldric's card as it is mispelled "BalTdric".

Love these, have become attached to the main characters and good to see an upgrade. Not too sure on bakeries magic but I'm sure it'll look great painted

      Superbacker
      on

@James - It won't happen. I can see why ultimate survivors are KSEs :)

@Shawn - I think the massive amounts of damage orcs and dragons can deal requires a bit of an upgrade on the player side. People can choose to use any mix of survivors - ultimate or not - to get the balance they personally feel is necessary.

      I like the update a lot :)

This is so awesome. I think it would be cool if each race had a perk/skill like him. Hobbits (I know there is only one) could reroll one die per turn. Orcs could have one hit point more. Humans start with some bonus exp. Elves could make an additional turn before start of the game or could avoid attacks I don't know what else, but I'm so hyped that there are skills for individual survivors. Dwarfs making weapons if they have a hammer? Craftsman keyword would be cool. "Upgrade a weapon to respective vault weapon". I mean spell to spell, melee to melee etc.

Love the giant! So happy to have other survivor's of different types!

I would prefer the Giant as an Abomination Abomigiant or so....

    31. Shawn Palmer on

I love this. But im really concened about game balance. How does ultimate survivors effect game balance. Will it make things too easy? Just right? I want to buy them, but Id like more details on how to best use them.

    32. DrSesi on

My thought is we will need these ultimate survivors to offset plague princesses powers. They are coooooming.....

    33. Captain Firepants on

@Rhambau I have to revise my comment. I looked at the art a liitle longer than before. The legs look realy a little bit like horse legs. His body looks very wide in the middle. Could the artist had drawn a centaur in the beginning. And CMON decidet to have a giant instead. So the artist deleted the hind legs? Just a thought. But I still like the art style.

    34. Nick Hansen on

@Leo - thank you for taking the words right out of my mouth

    35. Torin on

Am I right in thinking we can add to our pledge after the KS is finished so we can spread costs across paychecks?

@Captain Firepants: I share your opinion. It is a unique style derived from French graphics novels. That is why you can recognise CMON games at the first glimpse.

    39. Vincent on

Watching the drawing, the problem about Silas’s leg is more about his knee. In the drawing, the right leg seems to be behind the cloth.
      Silas mini is awesome !
The blade of Nelly looks great on the illustration, but wierd on the mini no ?

    40. Atimet on

@Chris They look like armoured boots to me....

    41. Captain Firepants on

@Rhambau The leg of the giant is just the expression and style of the illustrator. I like the art. I hope that he or she will read my opinion. Great job.

      Chris on

Why does the Giant survivor have hooves on the drawing whereas he is normally legged on the miniature?! Got me confused....

    43. Captain Firepants on

@CMON I cryed out for new fantasy races in ZGH. And now we can have a giant. Thank you very much.

    44. Captain Firepants on

@ CMON I dig the Ultimate Survivor pack. They overcome the Zombicide Black Plague challenges and they reached a new level. In computergaming the gaming characters make there expiriences visual via further developed armor. I love this idea. Thank you for this pack. I liked the old survivors and the new ones. I will buy them

Added the ultimate survivors, I think they and the giant kick ass.

+Orcs mates (female, wizard/shaman, ranged specialized)
      +not-Thrall (the GOAT of greenskins)
+Goblin mates ( survivors of all types, necro, abom* a bunch of stitched together goblins*)

As add-ons y'know? The support for more green skins is there.
Great campaign CMON, keep doing it big.

      #greenskinsmatter

    46. Roberto Carlos Araiza on

I agree, we need more elves, dwarves and halflings, maybe some half orcs?

also please make some more campains for Massive Darkness, maybe a campaign for the crossover?

    47. Cornelius, Wanderer of the Ringtail Fox on

The Ultimate Survivors are great and Finarton the Giant is just amazing. Thanks CMON.
