Hail Survivors!

The bout to unlock the next Stretch Goal continues:

Perhaps we can knock this one down quicker with the help of our first Optional Buy!

We were extremely happy with the characters created by the amazing artist Paul Bonner for his last Special Guest box, so we invited him to contribute some more of his incredible artwork for a new Special Guest box:

For $30 the Paul Bonner Special Guest Box Optional Buy brings players a roster of amazing new characters, including 1 Necromancer and 4 Survivors. But wait, you say, I only see 4 drawings on that banner. Well, read on, and you'll understand!

First off we have Faolan, the vampiric Necromancer:

Faolan is a nasty bloodsucking Necromancer. If any Survivor enters Faolan's Zone, or if Faolan enters a Survivor's Zone, the poor Survivor immediately suffers 2 Damage!

Then we have the mighty Carol Black-Oak!

And to show that not all orcs are on the side of evil, Tola joins the fray!

Tola is a pretty massive Survivor! (Though I think the concept of massive survivors is about to be redefined if you just keep reading.)

And last, but certainly not least, we have the awe-inspiring Kirag and Thorg!

Kirag and Thorg represent a very different kind of Survivor for Zombicide: While they are a single miniature (and a massive one at that) they are actually two separate Survivors, with two individual ID cards! They may be controlled by different players, or a single player may control both if your table has less than 6 players. Kirag (the dwarf on top), cannot make Move actions of his own, but Thorg (the ogre below him) carries him wherever he goes. Aside from that, they can take other actions like normal survivors. However, if either of these Survivors is killed, the other one is also immediately eliminated.

If you're interested in purchasing this optional buy, please just click the "Manage Your Pledge" button on the Zombicide: Green Horde Kickstarter page and in the pledge manager add $30 to your pledge. We'll sort out what your extra money is going towards after the campaign has closed and we've sent out our Pledge Manager.

For the Green Horde!

A question; i receveived the Pual bonner box and there isn't the colored base for kirag & thorg. The base is huge.
does anyone know anything about it? Furthermore, there is no housing for bases in the box....

    2. Francois Therrien on

      Greate piece of art!! :)

      Bill Clark on

Great artwork, I like the dual character mechanic and I'm happy to see a necromancer included. The price had me thinking twice, but that's pretty nice.

    4. Michael Brooke on

Will the large colour bases in this box be a colour we haven't had yet (so we can get all the large heroes on one mission)?

    5. Lord M on

But I love the fact that we have an HUGE figure :))

    6. Lord M on

I took it but honestly it's too expensive... 10$ less will be better.
On that price I don't know if I will be able to get more Optional buy :(( Knowing that the orignal pledge was already at 120$...

      alejandro on

30$ is too expensive. the last year 20$. this is a shit

    8. Teppo Koivukangas on

Bit pricey.. but had to get it for the orc survivor. Hopefully they add more of those so can roleplay more during the game. :)

    9. Kevin Kolakowski on

For $20 I'd be all over this. $30 for 4 figures / 5 characters is bit steep.

    10. Lionhunter on

The only thing on my mind is that this cost 1/4 of the whole pledge, and you only get 4 minis.

    11. Terence Kelly on

Kirag and Thorg, Paul Bonner take a bow, stunning.

    12. Konrad Neumann on

I upped my pledge.... but I don't know how much I'd do this based on sculpt alone. I currently buy BP figures based off their skills... it would be nice to get an idea of what their skill sets were, even if its a WIP.

      Pat on

Well at first I questioned the price until I saw the size comparison. You know their just gonna want the dark elf riding a tiger even more now

    14. Paboook on

The vampire model is absolutely brilliant!

      Henry on

The Carol Black Oak Art Work looks much better for me, than the Miniature. What a bummer.

      Danny on

Hmm, don't think the surviver color bases will fit those last 2 survivers though, especially the one on top. :-)

Heck of a price for this! the size alone make is worth the $30.. heck i would pay that for just Thorg!

      Adam C. on

Price increase to $30 seems to be for all Special Guest boxes, the Sean A. Murray Guest Box with the Gateway minis that we all get as part of the stretch goals had a suggested retail price of $30 in update #9

    19. Tony Henrichsen on

This box looks incredible. I love the diverse characters and sculpts. Faolan is the scariest necromancer to date in my opinion, though Queen Severa is a close second.

    20. Stuart Fern on

I agree with everyone. Love the miniatures, would love to have them. Simply can't afford it, especially with the currency exchange from Australia. Sad to pass on these.

    21. Mike the Knight on

Did Thiago mention if there will be Doors, plastic tokens and Card holders?
AlsoI hope we're getting 3D barrier tokens. Hint hint

    22. Jon Pryor on

That Guest box looks mighty tempting! "Kirag and Thorg" looks very Epic, well done to Paul Bonner! wow this is really different from Survivor's/Hero's we have had to date, hat tip to the great sculpts!.

    23. Michael Brooke on

Also, do we think we will see some of the previous add-ons and guest boxes in this campaign?

    24. partenopei on

i recently bought seven of the BP guest boxes all at $17-20 each

      can wait for this

    25. partenopei on

      wow

      amazing box

will probably wait for retail tho at that price

    26. Craig Johnson on

I usually wait to get the guest boxes at retail since they're not KS exclusives, but damn, I really like this one. The concept and miniatures are far better than the Gateway survivors. I'm kind of over the tribute survivors too. I'll take them if they're giving them, but I'd rather see some more original ideas.

      Vincent on

Cool and expensive ! That’s coolspensive?

    28. Michael Brooke on

I think if Kirag & Thorg were tiny that would have been cooler.. Sir Didymus & Ambrosius should be in Zombicide

    29. Missing avatar

      Lee Holden on

How much, do they not realise they're only lumps of pretty plastic?

    30. Michael Brooke on

With a survivor(s) that big, what do people do when a zone starts overflowing with zombies.. cram them all in, or only fit as many that can fully touch the board?

    31. Missing avatar

      waxbottle on

Nope. Not KS exclusive and pricey. We'll probably get some more Survivors unlocked anyways.

    32. TheYgg on

      Loving it!

    33. Tage Lind on

The price increase is probably just for this one box because of the size of that enormous figure. Wait until the next guest artist box to start complaining about them gouging. If the next one is $30 as well then that is bullshit.

    34. Belisarius
      Superbacker

4 miniatures priced at 1/4 price of the whole KS pledge..pass

    35. Kal on

@SplitTheAtom I agree, but I wonder if it's to account for the huge size of Thorg. I guess the next guest box with regular size minis will tell us.

      Wow what's the msrp?

    42. dafrca on

@ Adrien Auger; Because some of us like the Survivors and don't mind, even want, the added sculpts for the fun of it or for painting fun etc.

    43. dafrca on

Jon nix wrote "now we really need a Massive Darkness crossover that includes cards for these characters"

Now that is a great idea.

    44. dafrca on

I would love to have had a separate Thorg figure with him/her standing up. I love the look of poor Thorg.

    45. Panayiotis Mousarris on

Because the minis this time are going to be epic...

    46. Almighty Cow on

@Javier Sevilla Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't realize the stretch goals were farther apart.

Well I did ask for something other than a normal hero and did ask for an orc one and here it is. Looks real nice as well.

CMON.... TOO HIGH..... TOO HIGH..... don't go down this road.... the whole point of the ADD-ON is to encourage backers and reward them in their commitment to you and the project, not to simply gouge them.....

    49. Adrien Auger on

With how many heroes you're releasing already as stretch goals, I cannot figure out why people would spend more money on more heroes.

Just wondering how to manage the auto-wounds from Faolan gamplay-wise. Would you get an armor save or not?
