The best defense is a good offense... and vice versa

Starcadians, report in!

We're halfway through unlocking the Y-Crush troopers to all backers acquiring a Build-a-Robot expansion.

And Johnny Jet and his jetpack will be following the troopers.

Looks like we could use some Hero assistance to first unlock these monsters and then well... just beat them!

And this Optional Buy may do just that!

For $12, this Optional Buy brings Patty & Sherry heroines.

Patty is a sweet heart. She really is. But don't misinterpret her kindness with weakness. She is anything but weak. In fact, she is really really (really!) tough and rolls more dice for defense than any other Hero. And although half of the successes (rounded up) are considered, there's is still a fair chance that she will leave a fight barely wounded. Not to mention that choosing the right Upgrades may grant her even more defense dice.

Contrary to popular belief, Sherry is not insane (ahm... not clinically insane at least). She is brave, strong, and impulsive. Which makes her throw herself into a fight without measuring the consequences, taking the opponent by surprise but also giving her a few battle scars. When melee attacking, she can choose to take 1 wound to daze the enemy, before they even get the chance to defend themselves.

She must be Klingon, even the symbol on her belt buckle is an upside down...

Last ditch of heroes seems like these maybe were stretch goals now turned add-ons as this campaign prolly isnt getting the numbers they thought it would.

I thought the horns, red skin and double ended blade was a little bit like Darth Maul. But the sculpt also looks like a predator.

@Melina: She’s actually speaking Klingon. The words she speak before the coughing translate to “Happy Birthday” (which is also what she’s claiming that she was trying to say).

The Klingon part is undeniable. I can also see some possible predator influences, but I’m not entirely convinced.

Sherry - a version of Gatsu from Berserk, blade and eyepatch (on other eye however)

If you ask me, Patty looks a heck of a lot more like Predator than she does like a Klingon. Especially when one considers the "hair" and weaponry. No bat'leth in sight!

No clue on the other character yet.

still no idee on the references? Klingon I heard, but the other?

I'd make the assumption dazed would only last for a turn at most or just for that attack.

Until they die is not something I would have thought, because that just sounds OP.

I should also note that as dazed doesn’t seem to be in the existing SQ draft rules, it’s possible it’s being adjusted slightly, as it’s extremely powerful (particularly in the end game). Campaigns are shorter, so defensively characters are unlikely to get as huge as before, but it’s possible that something like “-2 Defence dice” might scale better in terms of power level...

You can find the Arcadia Quest inferno rules online as reference, but basically Dazed means you cannot roll defence dice. Monsters are dazed until they die - heroes are dazed until they rest I believe?

Also, Neemoy’s ability is potentially more powerful than hers - she has to be making a melee attack and take a wound - he can exhaust any upgrade to daze a close enemy...

What is “daze” I can’t find it in the rule book and I don’t have normal Arcadia quest to use as a proxy.

I think Sherry is my new favourite model!

      What are the references?

Any chance of a conversion kit the other way? To use SQ in AQ and Masmorra? I would buy that :)

I agree with Dim. That Daze power is dumb and broken. We banned Travis from all games because of it. Unfortunately we may end up doing the same with Sherry and she will most likely never be used. It would be a shame for a cool-looking character like her to get benched. (Also when buying 2-pack heroes it seems like one of them always has a broken ability so people don't end up purchasing the pack at all, some of my friends have taken this into consideration when adding heroes to their collection). CMON, please consider changing her ability.

The ability to daze someone before an attack is insanely overpowered and broken. Travis is the same in Original AQ.
