Send in the cavalry!
Starcadians, report in!
The danger level has increased immensely with the treat of 2 officers, coming to organize the troops and try to bring Thorne's vision of organization to the galaxy. We already had the menace the Gobbly officer, arriving when we reach 410k...
... and we recently revealed Boom Box officer, that will join the pirate crew to all backers with a Space Marauders pledge when we reach 420k.
You've been asking for ways to push us towards unlocking these Stretch Goals... well... how about revealing Optional Buys that will not only help us with that, but also make this fight a little fairer to the Hero side?
Choosing the Heroes that will join a crew is not only the first step, but is also one of the most important ones, to successfully becoming popular in the galaxy. It is important to evaluate the Heroes' abilities, know how they balance each other, and lets face it, how cool they look!
Well... for our first Optional Buys we have not 1, but 2 pairs of very cool looking heroes!
For $12, this Optional Buy brings the Brandalyn & Jakob heroes.
Brandalyn is one fasters triggers in the entire galaxy! And she's also all about precision too. When performing an ranged attack, she can choose 1 ranged boost - yes, only one - but she will double its effect. Seems like a great deal!
Unlike Brandalyn, Jakob tends to be less aggressive to reach a goal. After all, he doesn't want pass off as rude. But don't be mistaken. He's a specialist in the passive-aggressive technique. When attacking, the target is forced to exhaust one of their passive Upgrades - yep, those that usually aren't exhausted at all!
While Brandalyn and Jakob are all about old school guns, the next 2 heroes are much more about the shiny high-tech kind!
For $12, this Optional Buy brings the Cury & Yuri heroes.
Either on the stage, with carefully rehearsed battles, or in the middle of a fight, it is undeniable that watching Cury's swordsmanship will be one of the best shows you can witness in the universe. But his true advantage in the battlefield lies in his regenarative powers. After performing cool moves with his laser sword, at the end of his turn, he always heals 1 wound.
Besides the amazing leader skills and great enthusiasm, Yuri has been blessed with a great power. And do not underestimate that power! Yuri can choose to move a character, any character, and if by the chance of faith (or Yuri's strategizing) that character stops close to her, she attacks. Unless, of course, it is a friendly character. In that case, they simply get to move.
For Starcadia… and Beyond!
