Commencing Countdown, ELITE Soldiers!

The Commandant is unlock to lead the Proxies in battle!

Before we reveal our next Stretch Goal, we have an offer to make!

The countdown begins, as we enter the final days of campaign, and we better be prepared, with any equipment available!

For $10, the Kickstarter Exclusive Ammo Pack Optional Buy brings a new set of rules, to emerge in the battlefield, and a new type of equipment!

The Ammo Pack comes with:

  • 6 Grenade Equipment cards, 2 of each type of grenade:
  • - Explosive Grenades
  • - Smoke Bombs
  • - Repellant Gas
  • 2 Ammo Crate tokens
  • 36 Ammo tokens
  • 9 Smoke tokens
  • 9 Repellant tokens

New difficulty: Ammo

The Ammo Pack is designed to emerge players in the battlefield and offer new challenges.

All non-basic weapons become limited ammo weapons. When a Weapon is equipped, players must add Ammo tokens to their cards. In order to use a Weapon, one token must be spent. Once all the tokens have been spent, the Weapon is inactive and can’t be used to attack or have its effects applied.

But that is no motive to panic. New ammo can be acquired by reaching an Ammo Crate and performing a Search action, with no limit to the amount of players that can do the action at the same time. Ammo Crates can also be moved to adjacent spaces, in case the location is invaded and becomes too dangerous.

New Weapons: Grenades

The Ammo pack brings grenades as a new kind of weapon. Grenades can be thrown to a fixed position, causing damage and different effects depending on the Grenade's type.

All grenades have the same range and chance to hit, but depending on the dice result the grenade may hit closer or further locations.

There are three types of grenades:

- Explosive Grenades: Deal 2 damage on the space it hits and 1 damage on all adjacent spaces.

- Smoke Bomb: All Aliens in the hit and adjacent locations can’t move, can’t be pushed, and don’t activate until next round.

- Repellant Gas: All aliens in the hit and adjacent locations must move against the Movement Path when moving or activating inside the area. The effect lasts until the next round.

Now, for our next Stretch Goal, we decided to make the reaching of a half of million special by meeting a constant request!

When we reach $500k we will unlock for all backers the Kickstarter Exclusive Double-sided Adrenaline Map.

Note that as an unplanned Stretch Goal, the map shown is only a mockup art of what you will be receiving in the future.

      Thanks. So it's the same as when they mentioned Zombicide black ops in the last update.

      I wish they would just publish the list of required readings before the campaign starts so that I know what I'm supposed to be excited about to purchase add-ons that unlock stretch goals.

      @Batman: adrenaline was the name of an expansion to the original which included extra maps.

      So wait, the adrenaline maps were unplanned despite not being original content? I find it hard to believe CMON did not mine the original print run for it's expansion material. Or was the stretch goal unplanned which means the Adrenaline Expansion was going to be it's own Kickstarter, and this is a tease? I do appreciate the additional map goal as set-up is so much easier than a modular format, but the wording of the Update is a little suspect, no?

      @Peter

      The trick is to only use expansions one at a time to mix gameplay up now and again. Mixing everything at once must wait until you have played the game for quite a bit.

      I like a whole new gameplay mode for 10$ and a free double sided map. :)

      Wonder if this has been playtested at all. In the 1st edition it is hard enough to keep track of alien movement during the action phase with more than 2 players, now ammo, the ROOK stuff, and several other things are supposed to be kept track of. Good luck with that :P

      The cardboard only option of the Ammo pack leaves me thinking "meh". For $10 they could make them plastic.

      Love the ammo crate idea... but wish, due to the price, they would have been 3D

      The Ammo Pack looks interesting gameplaywise, but I'm not a fan of the art on the tokens, and this is also true for the base game (acid and slime tokens). Why not make smoke tokens look like actual smoke and repellant tokens look like a colored mist? I don't care about ammo tokens since they are just a currency, but tokens that goes on the game board should be less iconographic and more immersive.

      @mi&vi you don't have to buy it. Adding an unplanned map as a Kickstarter Exclusive is top shelf! Hopefully we'll hit the $500,000 mark no problem.
