As an owner of the first edition, I do not think that just alternate poses will be a good thing until the minis have different gameplay stats / types as well.
The game can become very hectic in the real time phases and I have my doubts the different looks for the same enemy type will do any good.

Remember: this is not your normal tactical boardgame

Hope CMON will include the special non-boss type enemies in future SGs instead

It is a fairly standard thing for Cmon to do with early stretch goals. All the big surprises and clever twists come later after a few alternate sculpts and generic characters.

It's an alternate pose for variety, which cmon do in most of their Kickstarters. They are still obvious to tell apart, it's not a waste and is great for us painters.

Alt sculps are not a strong SG, would prefer more unique mobs than alt sculpts. This does not add replayability in my opinion.

I like this - I plan to paint the rim of the base a different color for each type - easy to tell apart.

I agree, theses seem like a waste of plastic. What’s next? Alternate cards so that you have to sort through them to make sure you have the right deck? An alternate rule book with the same rules, just organized differently? Alternate tokens that mean the same thing?

Maybe I’m missing something here, but this particular stretch goal seems redundant and silly. If you are going to add things, why not add things that matter?

@Benjy - I agree. It's a weird game to have alternate sculpts. It'd be different if they were a different colored plastic to represent elites. That way elites could look different both in sculpt and plastic.

Not super excited about this approach. In a game that’s frantic, you want consistency - not multiple models (unless you’ll shade them different colors - which would be great). While I’d love a replacement for that runner pose (looks like he got kicked in the groin really hard), I think having alternate poses hurts more than helps.

Nice to check right when a new SG drops...
