We Could Be Tyrants!

Hail Savages!

The end draws near, and we're halfway done to unlocking the final Stretch Goal. Can we get there in time?

Meanwhile, there is one very important figure in HATE that we have not truly explored yet. Before the campaign ends, we might as well take a closer look at the ambition of every tribe: being led by the mighty Tyrant!

When a player tries to conquer the capital, the central territory in the Campaign Map, they play a special Scenario with the reward of gaining the Tyrant for themselves. This mighty figure replaces your tribe's Prince until he's killed, or until another tribe wrests control of the capital from you.

The Tyrant comes with several skills. Of course, he's a tough warrior, requiring a couple knockouts to be thrown to the ground. He's also a powerful leader, whenever he's activated you may also activate one of your Warriors for free (without spending Savagery and without counting as one of your 2 activations per turn). Attacking the Tyrant is always a very risky endeavor (as the many skulls he wears demonstrate). His Defense roll always inflicts 1 Hit, meaning if you don't roll a Save in your Attack, you're KO'd at the end of the combat. Finally, the Tyrant is a particularly big and vicious Varn, wielding a truly mighty axe. His attacks target every figure in a range of 2 spaces around him, reaping lives as he swings away!

These miniatures amaze me. They're almost too good to be true for a $120 game

For those who have purchased enough to run 3 games, don’t forget 3x Red dice so you have a black set and red set for each board!

So your saying it doesn't matter what your defense is....if you attack this guy...he does a hit. And you need to roll a defense on your ATTACK roll. Quite cool. So you need to be good at attacking (number of dice) so you'll get a defense aswell as the attacks you need. Otherwise it's goodnight.
